Bonnie and her mother watched as Esther formed a large pentagram on the floor outside of the Old Witch House, formerly the home of the Mikaelson coffins before they were opened. Finn lit five torches placed at each point of the star as Esther then made a large circle of salt around the pentagram.
"The pentagram represents our connection to magic. The salt is a symbol of the earth." The ancient Witch explained.
"The torches?" Bonnie asked.
"Five torches. One for each of my children." Esther replied.
"What's the spell you're doing?" The youngest Witch watched on intently as the preparations were made.
"As the Witch who cast the spell that made the Vampires, I can also reverse it." Esther told her.
"When they become Human again, they can be killed. As they are linked as one, my brave Finn will be the sacrifice. With his death, will come theirs."
Abby scoffed, looking to the oldest brother.
"And you're just willing to die?" She asked.
"My mother has released me from an eternity of shame. It's not a sacrifice, it's a gift." He replied.Stefan stared at the blood bags in the fridge in the basement of the Boarding House, fighting his Demons not to feed on Human blood. He held a bag in his hand as half of his brain screamed at him not to do it, but the other half told him otherwise.
"Clock's ticking. You gotta help me brainstorm a plan or are you too busy fixing yourself a snack?" Damon came in, seeing his brother in his self-conflicting state as Rayna walked through the corridor.
"Oh great, food." She smiled to herself as she took a blood bag from the fridge.
"You're not exactly helping either." Damon said.
"Well, let's see." Rayna sipped from her bag. "Finn I've only met once, and that was at the ball, Kol's a bit of a dick, Rebekah I'd happily see dead and Niklaus isn't exactly in my good books either. So what do I care if they all die?"
"You forgot a sibling." Damon gave her a smirk.
Rayna thought for a moment. Elijah was neither in her good or bad books. No matter what he did or how much he irritated her at times, she couldn't stay angry at him. She'd done it before and since then, it just wasn't happening.
"Fine... Hurry up and think of something. I'll be waiting upstairs." She sighed, taking her blood bag back to the living room as Damon turned back to his brother, a heavy smirk on his lips.
"We need to call Bonnie. There's got to be a way for her to stop Esther from channelling that power." The younger brother said.
"A; what if she's with Esther? B; What if she can't cut her off? C; I don't know how any of this stuff works and D; neither do you!" Damon huffed.
"You got a better plan?" Stefan raised his eyebrow.
"Worst case scenario, simple mechanics. Can't draw power from a dead battery." Damon shrugged.
"Kill them..." Stefan confirmed, sighing.
"If it comes to that." Damon nodded.
He then took the blood bag from his brother, took a gulp from it and gave it back.
"There's gotta be another way." Stefan pondered out loud.
"Well... What if I told you I had a less diabolical plan?" Damon held up one of the silver daggers.
"You want to dagger Elijah?!" He whisper-yelled, knowing the Original was still upstairs.
"They're all linked. One goes down, they all go down. The Witches live, Elena's safe, problem solved." Damon shrugged.
"We don't know if it'll affect Klaus." Stefan pointed out.
Damon scoffed. "Ironically, Klaus isn't our current problem."
"The dagger is lethal to any Vampire who uses it, remember?" Stefan reminded him.
The older brother smiled. "Well, I just so happen to know someone crazy enough to give it a shot."
"Alright, I currently have Vampire Barbie on distraction detail with Klaus. Kol's third wheeling." Damon said as he walked into the living room.
"Vampire Barbie?" Rayna scoffed.
"Elena's friend Caroline. She's a newbie Vamp who has reluctantly caught the eye of our Hybrid friend." Damon explained, realising they two hadn't met yet.
Rayna nodded, knowingly.Alaric, better known as 'Ric', was keeping an eye on the Originals at the Mystic Grill whilst on a date with a doctor from the local hospital; Meredith Fell – One of the Founding Family members.
"You want another drink?" He asked her.
She smiled and nodded as she bent down continue her go as the pair played Pool.
Kol watched as she took her shot, potting one of the balls.
"A woman of your calibre ought to choose more suitable company." Kol smirked as he approached her. "What's your name, love?"
"None of your business." Meredith sighed.
"Let's try that again." The youngest Original brother smiled, keeping his patience. "I'll start. I'm Kol."
"Why don't you get lost, Kol?" Meredith tilted her head.
"And why would I do that? I like pretty little things with sharp tongues." He replied, walking up to her and stroking her cheek with the back of his hand as Alaric approached the two.
"I'm pretty sure she told you to get lost." He said.
"And I'm pretty sure I don't care." Kol replied, turning around.
Just as he did, Alaric stabbed him with the silver dagger.
"Next time, take a hint." He whispered in Kol's ear as the Vampire went down.At the Witch house, Finn fell to the ground, dead.
"Something's wrong." Esther gasped.
