The next morning, Katherine woke up to a rather odd, but pleasurable feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She looked down, under the sheets, seeing Damon smiling up at her.
"What are you doing? Stop it!" She chuckled.
He joined her above the sheets, seeming extremely happy as he wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Make me." He whispered.
In a second, Katherine rolled on top of Damon, straddling him as she pinned his hands above his head, her fangs out and eyes red.
Damon looked up at her with a mixture of admiration and curiosity, but their moment was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Yes?" Katherine called, sighing.
The door opened to reveal her maid, Emily.
"Excuse me, Miss Katherine. Miss Pearl is here to see you." She said.
Katherine gave another sigh. "I'll be down soon. Please ask her to wait." Emily stood there, awaiting dismissal.
"Thank you Emily." Katherine smirked as she gazed down at Damon.
The maid exited the room, closing the door behind her.
"Fun's over." The Vampire pouted.
"Hmm... No..." Damon moaned, reaching up to caress her face as Katherine leaned down to kiss him.

"It's good to see you, Pearl." Katherine smiled as she made her way down the stairs, fully dressed.
"Perhaps we could talk outside?" Pearl suggested, brushing a strand of her long black hair out of the way.
Katherine turned to Emily, who was stood behind Pearl.
"Emily, would you please tell Mr Salvatore that I've stepped away." She instructed.
"Which one?" The witch asked, bringing a smirk to Katherine's lips.
"Both." She replied.

Katherine and Pearl made their way across the back yard.
"How long do you plan on staying with the Salvatores? People talk, Katherine. You, carrying on with both brothers, doesn't help the situation." Pearl cut to the chase.
"The Salvatores have been kind to take me in. As far as everyone here knows, I'm a poor orphan girl from Atlanta, lost her family in the fires." Katherine faux pouted.
"A match you lit, no doubt." Pearl raised an eyebrow.
Katherine giggled as the two stop at the bottom of the garden.
Pearl looked over Katherine's shoulder, spying her daughter.
"Honey, please be careful!" She called.
The young girl jogged over to pet one of the horses.
"Honoria Fell came by the apothecary yesterday with a case of this elixir." Pearl sighed, handing Katherine a small bottle of yellowish liquid. "She asked that it be sold at a reduced rate."
"I don't follow." Katherine raised an eyebrow.
"Try it." Pearl insisted.
Katherine uncorked the bottle and put it to her nose, taking a sniff.
After coming to no conclusion, she poured some on her hand, causing her skin to immediately start burning.
"What in Hell?" Katherine shrieked.
"Vervain." Pearl sighed.
"Why is there Ver-" Katherine started before realisation hit her. "They know..."
"They're trying to find us and they're getting crafty about it." Pearl said.
"The townspeople ingesting Vervain? Well, that's inconvenient." Katherine huffed, handing the bottle back to Pearl.
"It might be time for us to move on again." Pearl sighed.
"No, I like it here. I'm not interested in leaving just yet." Katherine replied as Pearl's daughter, Anna, trotted her way over to the pair.
"Is something wrong?" She asked.
The women didn't respond.
Rayna watched as the three of them continued to walk around the grounds of the Salvatore property, listening in on their conversation.
When she knew the important part was over, she made her way to the house.
"Mr Salvatore. How nice to see you." She greeted the brothers' father as they passed in the foyer.
"Rayna! My sincerest apologies, the Founding Families have been dealing with some rather pressing matters recently." He said.
"Oh, I hope it's nothing bad..." Rayna furrowed her eyebrows.
"It's nothing we can't handle. Sit tight. All will be well soon enough." He smiled.
She smiled in return and made her way upstairs, knocking on Damon's bedroom door.
"Yes?" Damon called.
"It's your best friend." Rayna smiled.
"Come in." He chuckled.
Rayna opened the door, seeing Damon putting a fresh shirt on.
"Good morning, Rayna. It's a beautiful day, don't you think?" He smiled.
"Someone's awfully happy today." Rayna raised an eyebrow, her smile faltering slightly.
"What's not to be happy about? The sun is shining, Katherine and I are on the best terms and I have you here." Damon grinned, running over to her and lifting her up in a hug.
Rayna squealed in shock, giggling until he put her down.
"What happened between you and Katherine?" Rayna asked, realising what he said.
"She reassured me of any worries I had and we spent the night together. Oh, Rayna. It was wonderful!" He sighed, happily.
Rayna raised an eyebrow. "Yes, I know how wonderful she can be."
