The Year: 2012
Location: Mystic Falls

"Here we are, Rebekah. Home sweet home. Only took a thousand years. And to think I was counting on you being here with me. But that's all ruined now, isn't it?" Niklaus was in his new mansion, speaking over his sister's desiccated body as it lay on the dining room table, still grey, but without a dagger.
One of her fingers moved, telling the Original that she was almost awake.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered, stroking her cheek, gently. "Sister... We'll meet again one day."
And with that, he daggered her again.
"Still got those family issues, I see." Rayna's voice came from behind him.
He spun around to see her leaning against the archway to the dining room.
"Rayna, love. How nice of you to drop by." He smiled.
"What the Hell do you think you're playing at? I saw Stefan in town. He told me all about your little games. You switched his humanity off? And what's this about messing with the Doppelganger's head? When did you become so vindictive?" Rayna spat.
Niklaus gave his signature smirk. "Playing with my food is something I've never really grown out of."
Rayna shook her head, disgusted.
"Where's Elijah?" She asked.
"Daggered like the rest of them." Niklaus replied, looking like the visual definition of smug.
Rayna sighed impatiently.
"That's not what I asked, Nik. Where is he?"
"Beats me, love. Stefan has all the coffins besides Rebekah's." He said. "Fail to mention that, did he?"
"Must've slipped his mind. With all the other crap he's having to deal with because of you and your Hybrids, I'm not particularly surprised." Niklaus chuckled. "Damon might have your answers. He seemed a little less busy than his brother. Have you spoken to him since he returned? You seemed to be a rather touchy subject to him during one of our first conversations."
Rayna remained in her position, but couldn't help but feel like steam was about to pour out of every orifice as her blood boiled with anger.
"I'll be sure to check in with him." She replied, sarcastically. "Goodbye, Nik."
With that, she Vamp sped off out of Niklaus' mansion.

A few minutes later, she found herself outside the Salvatore Boarding house.
She knocked on the door.
Seconds later, it opened, revealing the oldest Salvatore.
"Rayna?" He gasped.
"Hello Damon." She replied, blankly. "I hear my sire is causing you trouble."
It took a moment for everything to sink in with Damon, but eventually, it did.
"Klaus is your sire?" He asked in a rather disgusted tone.
Rayna nodded.
He moved to let Rayna pass and the pair went into the sitting room to talk.
"Bourbon?" He asked, holding a decanter.
Rayna nodded again. "Please."
"Stefan told me you were there the night he saved Elena. How come you didn't stay?"
"I didn't feel like having this conversation." She replied with a bored tone.
Damon came over to the couch Rayna was sat at and handed her a drink before going to sit on the couch opposite her.
"How is the Doppelganger doing?" Rayna asked after a moment.
"As well as she can be having had this life thrust upon her." Damon shrugged, taking a sip of his drink. "Not to mention the two dead parents."
Rayna glanced into the open fire, watching the flames as they danced.
"How have you been?" Damon asked after a few moments silence.
"I've been well, thank you." She replied, not taking her eyes off the fire as she took a sip of Bourbon.
Damon sighed. "I'm sorry for what I did to you."
"Of which occasion do you speak?" Rayna raised an eyebrow.
"All of them..." He answered.
Rayna simply nodded, taking another sip of her drink.
"What have you done with Niklaus' siblings?" She eventually asked.
"Hidden them somewhere safe." Damon replied.
"And where would that be? I have to speak with one of them." Rayna said.
"Can't tell you that, I'm afraid. Top secret info, right there." Damon smirked.
Rayna glared at him. "Don't play games with me, Salvatore. I need to know."
Damon looked down at his wrist. "Well, would you look at the time. I need to be at a Council meeting with the Founding Families."
He got up from his seat as Rayna placed her now empty glass on the coffee table in front of her.
She Vamp sped to him and held him up by his throat.
"Now this is bringing back some memories." He choked out, his smirk still hanging on.
"Where is Elijah, Damon?" She shouted.
"Oh so that's the sibling you wanted. Like I say, he's somewhere safe."
In a fit of rage, Rayna snapped Damon's neck with one hand, then left the house, going to find someone who actually could help her.
