~Falling~

Paul's POV

Tanner walked into mine and Connor's shared office. It was clear he didn't think I saw him. I just kept editing the thumbnail I was working on, pretending to be oblivious. Might as well let him have his fun, I thought. Then his hands came from behind me and covered my eyes. He started to giggle in the cutest way.

"Guess whoo?" Tanner teased.

"Hmmm, WHO could it possibly be," I stated sarcastically, "Oh I know!" Then I lifted the mystery hands from my eyes and turned to see the man I've been falling for. Those damned blue eyes and smile. "TANNER." I shouted, as if I had no idea.

Tanner started to laugh, "Ya got me. Ready for the GG shoot today?"

"Depends, are you ready to get your ass handed to you in Golf It?" I raised my eyebrows to Tanner, daring him respond.

"You wish you could handle my ass," Tanner said, flipping his imaginary hair. He made a dramatic exit after that, but not before winking at me...

Wait. Did I see that right? Did...Tanner wink at me?

My face heated up and I couldn't stop smiling down at my desk. Ugh this boy is too much, I thought shaking my head to myself. Connor walked in and gave me a weird look, but didn't say anything. I just resumed my work, suddenly looking forward to GG time.

Woods POV

I was walking out of Patrick's office after discussing some arbitrary things about the channels, when I begin to hear Tanner's giggles. Fuck, those giggles will be the death of me, I thought. I was about to go find the handsome man himself until I heard Paul shout "Tanner!" My heart immediately sunk to my stomach. I know Paul likes Tanner, but does Tanner...like him back?

Subconsciously my hands started clinching into fists at my sides. Deep breathes Woods. Tanner is just that charming with everyone. I was too lost in my thoughts to notice that Tanner was walking out of Paul and Connor's office. We ran right into each other, causing Tanner to fall backward and me to land on top of him.

I try to lift myself up when I notice Tanner's hands on my hips. Our eyes connect for a moment, but I have to look away. It's too much.

"Hey there Woods, you know if you wanted a hug you could've just asked." Tanner said, giving me a devious smirk. Immediately, my face turned bright red.

"Oh I uh- didn't mean to- ah. I'm sorry," I finally manage, stumbling over my words. We were still laying together. His hands still on my hips, this had gone on too long hadn't it? I tried to continue lifting myself up but Tanner starts to tickle me mercilessly. As laughter wracks through my body I finally manage to squirm away.

"You don't have to make excuses, Woods. I know I'm just too irresistible, it's okay," Tanner said as he held his hand out to help me up. Once we were both standing he ruffled my hair and went on to wherever. I stood there a bit longer, still in shock of everything that just happened.

When I snap back into it, I feel a pair of eyes glaring at me. If looks could kill, I thought, seeing the glare was coming from Paul. His jaw was set tight and his hand was clenching the mouse so tightly his knuckles were white.

Good. Now he knows how it feels, I think before smiling kindly at Paul and then walking away.
