Paul's POV

I heard them before I saw them.

"What do you MEAN you've never been hiking?" Woods was talking to Tanner.

"I just never got around to it I guess," Tanner chuckled. I wanted to go out there and see him, but I wasn't really in the mood to see Woods. Don't get me wrong, Woods is a great guy. I'm just not a fan of him and Tanner together.

"Okay well this weekend I'm kidnapping you, and we are going to adventure into the great outdoors." There was more laughter. Finally I stood up and walked to the doorway. I looked at the two of them, smiling, talking. It doesn't make sense but I feel jealous.

"Okay, okay," Tanner raised his hands up in surrender. He then noticed Paul standing there, "Oh hey Paul! Ready to go play some Gmod? That is what we're playing next, right?"

Tanner was beaming at me with that radiant smile. I can't be upset with him, I never could be. I smiled back and responded, "You betcha. Prop hunt. Me and you vs Matt and Connor." I walked towards where him and Woods stood.

"That's easy, no competition. We're the best team!" Tanner had such a look if confidence that I had to laugh. I looked over at Woods who seemed a bit lost in thought. Now's my turn. I grabbed Tanner's hand and began tugging him to the GG set.

"C'mon let's go discuss strategy." Tanner just shrugged and waved bye to Woods as I pulled him along.

Once the other boys arrived we began to play. Me and Tanner has one all of the rounds so far. We did make a great team. Connor kept getting frustrated and saying we were cheating.

"How would we cheat bro, huh? How?" I said.

"I DON'T KNOW. You guys have sleepovers and strategize or something. AHH!" As he finished the sentence Tanner killed his prop. We high fives then went to find Matt.

"Dont think that's cheating, but that's a great idea. Hey Tanner, wanna have a sleepover tonight?" I looked over at him, momentarily forgetting the game. When he looked back the most amazing smile began to form on his face.

"I would love too Paul. I'll bring the popcorn and horror movies!" Fuck. He actually agreed. I really didn't think I'd get this far. Unfortunately the time ran out while this was happening.

"HA. YOU GUYS LOST. FINALLY." Matt screamed out. Before we could respond Matt looks to the camera and starts doing the outro, "Well that does it for this episode of get good gaming. Go check out this video that YouTube recommends specifically for you. AND click over here for a playlist of all the times we've played Gmod. Once the camera stopped recording I turned my chair so I was facing Tanner. "So. Sleepover?" I wanted to give him a chance to back out of it or see if he really wanted to.

"Yeah! I'll go home to grab some clothes after work, then go to your place." Tanner really did look excited for this. I was getting nervous just thinking about it. Us. Together. In the dark, watching a scary movie. So much could happen.

"Sounds good! I'll be there."

"Well yeah I would hope so," he laughed, " it'd be weird to go there if you weren't"

I playfully shoved him, "You know what I meant." I rolled my eyes at him.

Next thing I knew I was sitting at my desk, unable to concentrate on anything but tonight. I had Photoshop open on my computer trying so hard to make this thumbnail. Easier said than done though. Tanner was in the thumbnail so I kept getting distracted. His cute face. And smile. And arms. And his humor.

"Paul? Earth to Paul??" I snapped out of my reverie to see Connor waving his hand in front of me, "You okay man? You seem off. You were just staring at that picture of Tanner."

Shit. He noticed. "Yeah I'm good, just lost in my thoughts is all," I smiled up at him hoping to ease whatever suspicions he might have. I really don't need Connor finding out I have a crush on Tanner.

"Okay...well its time to leave now if you want. Unless you'd rather stay staring at Tanner," Connor teased. I could tell he was joking but my face immediately flushed.

"SHIT. TANNER. SLEEPOVER. GOTTA GO." I grabbed my things and quickly hurried out the door. As I got closer to my car I noticed someone leaning on the driver's side door. Realizing it was Tanner I started to walk faster. He seriously looked like something out of a magazine. It should be a sin to be that attractive.

When I get close to him, he just kind of looks down at me. He had a look in his eyes. A look that seemed like he was debating on something. I wish I could know what he was thinking right now. Tanner shook his head ever so slightly and broke eye contact. Resting his head against the car, he looked up at the sky. There was the slightest smile on his lips.

Since I lost track of time the parking lot was pretty much empty. I had an urge to just pull his face towards mine and kiss him. The urge almost won, until Tanner got off the car.

"I'll see you in a little bit," He smiled at me and then headed towards his truck. Right before he turned around, I noticed he still had that undecided look on his face. Quickly, I got in my car and drove home. Not speeding, but definitely on the edge of it. There were a few things that needed to be picked up around the house before he got there.

Tanner's POV

Fuck. I wanted to kiss him so bad. I could've... Tanner rested his head against the steering wheel of his truck. Tonight was sure going to be an adventure.

A/N - I actually finished this last night and was tempted to publish it then, but I dunno. Didn't. lol
