A test of teamwork

((The next morning, Rina's P.O.V))

I woke up as sunlight streamed into my room. Ruffling my messy bed hair, I made my way to the kitchen. I sleepily pushed open the door leading to otou-san's room to see him sleeping. I sigh and shake my head, he's going to be late if he sleeps some more. I ate an apple, totally ignoring otou-san's orders. I know I can't fight on an empty stomach, especially against otou-san. After I finished my apple, I threw it in the bin and went to the bathroom to do my morning routine.

I changed into my outfit and after grabbing my pouch which I filled full with kunais, serbon needles, smoke bombs and shurikens, I went to wake Mr sleepyhead up. I prepared icy cold water beside me in case he refused. I pushed his door halfway open and lugged the heavy pail of water near to his bedside. I then set it down and started asking him to wake up.

" Rina, they can wait, it teaches them patience." otou-san said, turning to his side and falling back to sleep.

I sigh, I knew this would happen. I picked up the heavy bucket and poured the icy water on his face. He instantly jumped up in shock and looked at me.

" RINA!" he shouted.

I squealed and ran out of the room happily. He came out later after a while and started eating breakfast and reading his Icha Icha paradise book.

" I thought you weren't suppose to eat breakfast?" I asked, eyeing him as he started eating really slowly.

" That's for you guys. I, on the other hand, won't puke." he stated, turning his glance back on his book.

Minutes past, he still haven't finish eating. I sigh, if I had to wait for him for so long, I had to get him out of the house. I looked at him, trying to get a plan to make him hurry and then something came to mind. I grinned evilly as I took some Icha Icha paradise books from his bookshelf and held it in my hand. I walked slowly past otou-san.

" I'm off. I'll show them the present I got for them." I said as I held the books close to his face.

" What is it--" he stopped in mid sentence and got up quickly. I dashed out of the house with him hot on my trail. I dash to the third's training grounds where I saw Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke.

" Kaka-sensei you're--" Sakura and Naruto stopped in mid sentence when they realized me and otou-san wasn't going to stop running.

I held the books over the nearby river and watch as otou-san halted and looked at me.

" I swear I'll disown you if you do that. Put it down on the grass now." Otou-San said calmly.

" Start the lesson first." I said as he quickly nodded and put an alarm clock set for noon on one of the three stumps.

He told us the real reason why he said not to eat breakfast and the look on their faces were priceless. I smirked and then threw the books at otou-san who caught them happily after his explanation. Then Naruto got impatient and ran at otou-san. Whipping out a kunai and aiming it at otou-san but he was too slow and ended up getting his own kunai pointed at the back of his neck by otou-san.

Sasuke, Sakura and I stood back a few feet away from him as he loosened his grip on Naruto's hand.

" Okay. Ready, get set, START!" Otou-San shouted.

In an instant, Sakura, Sasuke and I jumped into the forest to hide. I looked to my right and saw Sasuke hiding in a tree. I glanced down and saw Sakura hiding under some bushes. I looked over at the open field and sweatdropped at Naruto.

" COME FIGHT ME FAIR AND SQUARE!" Naruto bellowed at otou-san.

" Um, aren't you a little off there?" Otou-San replied, scratching the back of his neck.

" What's weird is your hairstyle!" Naruto said before rushing at otou-san.

" First lesson I'm going to teach you. Taijutsu." otou-san said and reached inside his pouch.

He pulled out an orange book which made me sweatdrop again. Naruto then started to try to kick him after asking why he took the book out which otou-san gave a stupid reply. Otou-San closed the book and poofed behind Naruto making a handsign of the tiger.

" A ninja shouldn't let another ninja come behind him." otou-san lectured Naruto.

" Nipou,taijutsu ogi. sennen goroshi!" he shouted sticking his tiger handsign into Naruto's butt, making him fly into the nearby river.

'Baka Kakashi' was all that came into mind. I then saw Naruto do kage bunshins but that ended up back firing and instead, Naruto ended up being tied by his ankle on the tree.

Then shortly after otou-san was done with Naruto, he cast genjutsu on Sakura, making her scream and pass out. I shook my head, a ninja must see underneath the underneath. I jumped from tree to tree but stopped when I saw Sasuke fighting with otou-san.

I watched as Sasuke touched a bell but still lost miserably. I sigh as I went to see him or at least a part of him. His head was sticking up and his body was stuckin the ground.

" Need some help? Uchiha?" I asked.

" Hn." he replied.

I sweatdrop as I walked away, "suit yourself". I found otou-san leaning on a tree. I looked as he kept his book and got into the fighting stance.

We fought for a few minutes and I ended up losing. I sigh in frustration as otou-san walked away to the K.I.A stone where he sensed Naruto's chakra.
