Alpha Max

Chapter 11

Max's POV

I looked at Avery shocked. "Y...You're pregnant?" I asked looking at her shocked still. Avery smiled at me and nodded and took my hand and placed it over her stomach.

My mind started to race. We were too young still! She's only seventeen! I just turned eighteen! We just became Alpha and Luna! This is crazy!

"Max? Max honey are you ok?" Avery asked worried. I looked up at her my hand still pressed into her stomach. I smiled at her. "Yeah I'm ok, just...shocked." I whispered smiling at her.

Avery smiled. "I was too, it's ok to be scared right now. I was too but I learned to love it and embrace it. I know you are probably thinking we are young right now but don't worry. We will get through this together honey." She whispered and kissed my forehead.

I hummed and looked over at Collins. "How long do I have to be in here?" I asked and looked over at the machines I was hooked up to. I watched the green line with the bigger green dot record my heart beat. I looked back over at Collins waiting for him to answer.

He frowned at me. "Until we know your wolf is back to normal. I'm sorry. I can't tell you completely when you can leave. It could be a week or two or even a few months we just have to wait and see. The heavy medication will help. I will go and get you some food. I am sure you are starving." He said and smiled and left the room.

I whined and looked at Avery. "Have you had an ultrasound yet?" I asked worried that I had missed her first ultrasound. She smiled at me and shook her head no. "I wanted to wait to see if you woke up soon." She said and squeezed my hand softly.

I smiled and pulled her down and kissed her softly. I missed her. I missed her lips on mine. She growled softly and kissed me back roughly biting my lower lip. I growled and pulled back. "Avery honey, I'm in no condition to do that sorta thing. I would love that right now, but I can't. Not hooked up to all of this." I whispered and motioned to the machines.

She whined loudly at me and glanced at the door when Collins walked in. "Thank you." I said softly and took the tray away from him.

Avery whined again at me. I glanced at her then away, ignoring the urges. I started to eat the fruit Collins as brought me sighing heavily.

"Max." Avery whined sitting back on my bed. I looked at her. "Avery honey, I told you I can't. I promise as soon as I'm off this we can." I said looking at her.

She had such longing in her eyes. She sat there pouting at me. 

I whined and looked away ignoring her the best I could. I couldn't give in to her. I couldn't risk hurting her, the baby, or myself.

I jumped when there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" I called watching as my father walked into the room. I smiled big seeing him.

"Hey! I heard you were awake! How are you feeling?" He asked softly and walked over to the other side of the bed. I smiled at him. "I'm sleepy, but I think I'm more hungry and excited right now than anything." I said softly.

"Why?" He asked softly.

I smiled big and looked at Avery. She smiled at me and looked at my father.

"I'm pregnant." She said softly.

My father looked at us shocked. "Dad?" I asked looking at him worried.

My father looked at my then Avery then back at me and smiled. "Congratulations you two." He said and smiled.

"I will let you rest. Finish your food you will need it." He said softly and kissed my head and left.

I sighed heavily and finished the rest of my food yawning. I looked over at Avery sleepily.

She smiled at me. "Get some sleep honey. I'm sure Collins will stop in. Better get some sleep before he comes in." She said and brushed my cheek and pulled my covers up some.

I hummed and smiled at her. "I love you so much Avery." I said softly looking at her. 

Avery looked at me and smiled big. "I love you too. We both do." She said taking my hand and placing it over her stomach. I smiled even more and looked up at her. "You need to rest too honey, you shouldn't be on your feet so much." I said yawning. 

Avery ran her hand through my hair slowly. I yawned again soon falling asleep. 

Avery's POV 

I smiled watching Max fall asleep. I'm so happy that he had woken up this early and is already feeling better. Hopefully it is a speedy recovery. 

I sighed heavily and sat on my bed looking around the hospital room at the dark blue walls. I'm not even sure what time it is; I've been inside all day. 

There was a soft knock at the door. I groaned and got off the bed and headed for the door and opened it and looked at Lucas. 

Lucas smiled at me. "Hey. I came by to see if he was awake yet?" he asked looking at me. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, but you just missed him, he just fell asleep." I said softly. 

Lucas frowned and nodded. "Well, if you two need anything. Jordan wants to bring you guys so much food that she is making. It's driving me insane with all the food she is making." he said rolling his eyes. 

I giggled and smiled. "Well at least you will eat good for awhile." I teased smiling at him. Lucas whined. "She's driving me crazy. Just don't drive Max crazy when you get pregnant." He said laughing. 

I blushed and nodded. "I promise I won't. Now get back home to Jordan. You two can come visit tomorrow both of you. I think it will help Max recover a lot more if people who are really close to him come and visit." I said looking over at Max seeing his side rise slowly and dropping slowly as he breathed. 

Lucas nodded and said goodbye leaving. I sighed and closed the door and walked back over to my bed. I climbed under the covers and turned the lights off looking at the monitor that was keeping track of Max's vitals. 

The sound the the beeping soon made me fall asleep. Life right now is getting better for us. Max is on the mend and we have a baby on the way. Hopefully all goes well from here on out.
