Chapter 17

Avery's POV

I smiled big looking out the window of the truck. "I'm so excited to go shopping! My clothes are starting to not fit anymore. Now I don't have to worry about it any more now." I said excitedly and set a hand over my stomach and looked at Max.

Max looked over at me and smiled big. "I can tell that you are excited. You are barely keeping still in that seat." he said chuckling setting a hand on my thigh.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the mall. "I'm glad we are having a normal day for once. This is insane with what is going on back at home." I said and hummed unbuckling once he parked.

Max quickly got out hurrying over to my side and helped me out of the truck holding me close. I rolled my eyes and kissing his chin as a thank you earning a purr from him. I smiled and took his hand and headed towards the mall. I hummed walking inside.

As soon as we were inside Max pulled me flush against his side growling softly his eyes darting everywhere at all the people. I set my hand on his back leading him towards a maternity store. "Honey calm down we are safe here." I whispered looking through the clothes humming to myself.

Max whimpered watching me. I rolled his eyes and picked out a few shirts and pants before walking over looking around at the bras biting my lip. Soon I felt Max's arms wrap around me kissing my mark making me hum. "You know you don't have to wear a bra. You can go braless." He whispered in my ear watching as my hands felt the bras humming.

"I'm sure you would enjoy that wouldn't you?" I teased and blushed bright red feeling him push his tent into my bum. "Max you need to calm yourself." I growled softly at him. Max whined and kissed my neck. "I can't help it." he whined watching as I chose some new bras before turning and looking at him. "I know sweetheart but at least try, we are in public." I reminded him before going to the counter and paying for my items taking the bag.

Max whimpered and took my bags from me looking at me frowning. I sighed heavily. "Come on Max lets go to the baby store then we can go." I said feeling his discomfort.

Max huffed and took my hand. I smiled leading him towards the store smiling at all the clothes.  "We don't know what we are having Avery how can you decide on what to get?" Max asked looking at all the items in the store.

I looked at him then everything else. "I am not sure." I said walked around humming. "Maybe find just like either sex clothing and maybe two blankets." I added looking at the blankets humming to myself.

Max hummed in response picking out two random outfits and walked over showing them to me. I hummed and smiled at the clothes. "Great." I said and looked at the blankets grabbing one with a deer on it and one with a bear. "Perfect." Max said smiling big. Max took the blankets from me heading to the counter paying for the items. I smiled waiting for him.

Max walked over and checked his phone. "We should get going home." He said and kissed my forehead smiling big. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded and sighed. I was growing tired actually.

Max took the bags and set them in the backseat before helping me get into the car. He kissed my hand and smiled before going to the driver's side getting in. He took my hand smiling before starting the truck and heading back towards the pack. I sighed heavily leaning back into the seat before falling into a light sleep.

Soon I was woken by the truck coming to a stop. I looked around seeing cars everywhere. "What is going on?" I asked growing scared looking at Max. Max frowned turning the truck off and looked at me. "I don't know." He said and got out and walked over and helped me out.

I held his hand tightly looking around before pressing into his side. Max whined and kissed my head before leading me inside. I glanced around not seeing anyone. "Where are they?" I whispered my heart racing in my chest.
