And another one bites the dust

Six A.M. Jared doesn't have to be up for another hour. Let's take a look shall we? There's his dresser, there's his cluttered desk, there's his closet, there's his unmade bed- but what's this? There should be a boy in that bed! But is there? No, no there's not. Where is he then?

Someone's at the door! And they're entering! Who is it other than Jared! Lovable paper colored quiet boy! That is, in the day time...

He doesn't really try to stay silent. As he started his way up the stairs his mom runs out with a bat. A baseball bat. She ran down the stairs and almost hit Jared in the head but luckily she realized it was her son, not him.

"Oh! Jared! It's only you!" She gasped. "What are you doing up? Where were you? When did you leave?" She panicked.

"Oh nothing to worry about!" Jared shrugged with his huge creepy smile. The dark lines under his eyes were darker than usual. His "special tooth" (his one fang on the left side of his mouth) was more visable than usual. "I was nowhere...with no one...doing nothing!"

"Jared please! Who were you with?" She pressed.

"He told me to give you this." Jared said handing his mother a small peice of paper. He hadn't read it as he'd been instructed not to. His mother opened the stapled note as he ventured on up the stairs and dissapeared into his room.

"Oh god.." She whispered under her breath.

The next morning. Well...I guess the same morning... Anyway! Jared's mother was making pancakes for breakfast looking as stressed as ever when Jared came running down the stairs. He almost fell face first but caught himself on the railing before he could face plant. He did drop his phone with a loud thud on the wooden floor. Luckily he had one of the best most protective cases on so it didnt leave a single mark.

Jared picked up his phone and finished his way to the kitchen panting. He wasn't really an active child. He never played sports and was never one of the best kids in gym. He was always picked last. He was still as skinny and scrawny as a pencil, but thats because he doesn't stuff his face and he does walk to and from school everyday.

"Are you okay sweety?" His mom called.

        "Not really." He answered.

        "Whats wrong?"

"Well I just looked at my phone and I have some weird pictures on it. But I don't remeber any of it!"

"Well let me see..." She took his phone and looked.

"It's me," Jared started, "And a guy that looks like me infront of someone's house. Eric's house!"

"Well, Jared, last night aparently you did get out of the house and you came home about an hour ago. You were...you were acting weird. And that man? That's...your father."

"Oh. I thought he might be..."

"I'll talk to you more when you get home. You're gonna be late for school." His mother said handing Jared his lunch. "Love you sweetie!"

"Love you too, mom." Jared replied and left the house feeling a flood of different emotions.
