Why She Cries

An awful, awful feeling. Aching from all over. Very, very empty.

Mayu's eyes shot open as she gasped for air. She looked around her. Just the old train cart. She looked next to her.
There was Fukase. She furrowed her eyebrows. She sighed and lazily sat up.

She immediately felt something rise in her stomach, and felt like she would erupt. She bursted out of the train cart and ran farther back into the barren woods until she couldn't keep it in anymore. She vomited and lay on the ground, taken aback from exhaustion.

What in the world did she even do yesterday?! She tried to remember. She got measured, she was talking to Fukase, but after that it's...blank.
Tears formed in her eyes. She left to join a better life, but she hasn't been happy since. All the tales of how fun the circus is and the bond you share was a lie, and she felt so dumb and gullible for believing it.

She didn't want to go back home. She didn't really want to be here, but if she tried to leave....She was now becoming afraid of Master.

-.-.-.-.-.-

"YOU LOST HER?!"

Flower screamed at Fukase, with V and Miku by her side looking more worried than angry.

"No! When I woke up the door was wide open, so  she's probably gone somewhere or something. "

V sighed and held the bridge of her nose. "Do you have any idea where she is?"

"Probably  in the woods somewhere, but it's fine! She'll come back, she's a big girl." Fukase said, rolling his eyes.

Flower growled, but V put her arm in front of her to prevent her from attacking Fukase.

"What if she isn't in her right mind yet? What if she did something or something happened to her?"
Miku said.

V shook her head. "No. We are not going to have another Rana."

They all lowered their heads as they began to remember her.

V clasped her hands together. "Okay, everyone. Let's not panic. She has to be around here some where, so let's look for her."

-.-.-.-.-.

Mayu cried as the crisp wind bit at her skin. Her rosy cheeks were losing their color. She felt so numb, she couldn't tell what emotion she was feeling. She felt angry, really. Angry at herself and her mother for bringing her into this world.                                       She was an accident. An affair with another man, but her Father still chose to stay with her mother because he didn't want to ruin their reputation. It was a forced marriage, so it didn't matter to them anyway. Her half older sister, Galaco, loved her very much. She thought they had just adopted her.
When Galaco wasn't there, her mother always made sure to remind her she was an accident and that she wouldn't consider her her daughter. But Mayu kept a smile on her face and carried through. Her father paid no attention to her. All he saw was a "Reminder" of what happens when you aren't careful.
No other children wanted to play with her, for she was albino and was thought to be weird and scary. She didn't see the problem, however, for many people were albino where she lived. But they just didn't like her. It led her to not like her too.
But she could always go to  Galaco. Galaco was always there for her and loved her regardless. Galaco was smart, so they sent her off to a prestigious boarding school. This left Mayu alone.

All alone.

To fill in the gap, her mother adopted a girl the same age as Galaco. Mayu was hoping she'd be just as nice as Galaco, but that wasn't the case. The girl picked up that her parents didn't care for Mayu too much, so she did everything she could to make Mayu even more unhappy. She got away with it.

Every. Single. Time.

Maybe she should stop hoping. All she does is hope. Hoping for love, hoping for a nice sister, hoping for a better life. It was all nothing. She smiled though her tears. Nothing really mattered anymore. It was going to be this way regardless. Nothing would - uh oh.

There's that feeling again. She got up and moved to another place and vomited. She felt so empty, but it wouldn't stop coming out.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

"See! Told ya she wasn't too far!" Fukase saw her in the distance, but as they got closer to her they began to slow down and just stared at her with wide eyes.

There she was. Vomiting.

"Jesus!" Miku screeched, running over to Mayu. Mayu stopped spilling and looked up at Miku with a pitiful smile. "Hi, Miku." she croaked.

V and Flower ran to her, but Fukase stayed standing. Staring.

Why was he feeling remorse for this girl? He hated her...

But he cried for her.
