Veronica made her way through the semi-decorated halls of the high school as she looked for Bonnie. The two girls were meant to meet with Caroline, who insisted on buying their costumes for the Halloween party that night. Veronica scanned the lockers that lined almost every corridor, until her gaze landed on her dark haired friend.

"Can we just skip and have a movie marathon?" Veronica suggest leaning next to her friend against the dark grey lockers.

A ghost of a smile formed on Bonnie's lips, before it quickly faded. "As tempting as that sounds. I'm pretty sure Caroline would kill us if we left her here."

Veronica pondered the thought, before she nodded. "True."

The Forbes girl in question strutted toward them with three black shopping bags hung over her arms. "I got your guys costumes." Caroline smiled, handing each of her friends a bag. "It's all here."

Veronica took the thin straps and pulled the bag open to find a red dress, a black cape jacket and fangs. Her costume being none other than a vampire.

Bonnie reached into hers and reached in to reveal the same style of dress, but hers happened to be orange. "Seriously?" She deadpanned toward her friend when she realized she would be dressing up as a witch.

Caroline groaned, falling back against the lockers. "Come on. Can someone please be excited that it's Halloween? I just wanna have fun, you know, just some silly, fluffy, Damon free fun."

"Well, I'm all for it." Veronica reached into her bag and pulled out the fangs and place them in her mouth earning a giggle from the girls and took them back out.

Bonnie searched through the bag until she found something else among her costume. She withdrew a yellowish-orange crystal held on a bronzed chain and looked toward the Forbes girl in question. "Hey, isn't this the one you got from Damon?"

"Yep. Wear it. Toss it. I don't care. I just want it gone." Caroline shrugged "Hey, Have you seen Elena? Do we know what she's wearing?"

"I was with grams all weekend" Bonnie explained placing her costume back in the bag "I haven't talked to her"

"Yeah, Elena's been M.I.A" Veronica agreed with her fellow dark haired friend "Maybe she's with Stefan"

"Riding to his castle on his horse." Caroline whined

Veronica produced a fake pout "don't be bitter. It provokes wrinkles"

Bonnie snorted as they headed off to their first lesson for the day.

                                   •••
Veronica danced her way through the corridors of the school's Halloween party, smashing into a few slutty cats on the way.

Veronica scanned the crowd for any sign of her friends, until her eyes landed on Caroline, Bonnie and Tyler behind a beverage station.

Veronica made her way over to the Lockwood boy dressed as a Roman gladiator. A shirtless gladiator, nonetheless.

Veronica resisted the urge to roll her eyes when he greeted her with a smile. She happily took the plastic cup Tyler offered her, knowing that there would be enough alcohol inside to knock her out for days.

"Cider for the ladies." Tyler exclaimed, offering Caroline and Bonnie drinks as well. "It's a Lockwood special."

Bonnie shook her head. "No way. Last year, I was hungover until Thanksgiving."       "Lightweight." Caroline commented, taking one of the cups from Tyler. "I am going to drink until someone is hot enough to make out with."

"Sounds like a plan." Tyler held up his own drink and clinked his cup with Caroline's.

Veronica took a sip of her cider and winced at the strong taste of alcohol. "Looks like the two of you aren't gonna have to drink much." She stated. "Good lord, brother. Did you pour the entire bottle of Jack in here?"

Tyler chuckled, taking a sip of his own drink. "Just about."

Veronica nodded. "Good. I need to get drunk." She said, before she downed the rest of the cider in her cup and grabbed Caroline's hand pulling her over to the haunted house.

Veronica spent the rest of the night wrapped up in her lilac throw blanket watching scary movies, eating greasy take out and drinking coffee to help get rid of the hangover she'll definitely be feeling in the morning with Caroline Forbes who spent most of the night complimenting Veronica and how beautiful the colour of the wall was in her drunken mind.

Sorry for the short chapter Veronica didn't really fit in anywhere else in the story line and Veronica and Caroline are goals tbh.
