LOCKWOOD MANSION
It didn't take long for the disturbing news about Caroline shacking up to Matt in the bathroom at the grill last night and Luka Martin bring killed by none other than Damon Salvatore to get to get to Veronica.
Caroline called Veronica before Stefan, almost like an instinct. She told her all about Matt knowing about her being a vampire and how he's freaking out about Vicki. And to make things all worse he was missing. Veronica liked the boy but he was really starting to get on her nerves recently. Always getting in situations that him, 'the helpless human' can't get himself out of. It was actually quite shocking to her that a vampire hadn't drained him alive yet. There was that incident with Caroline so maybe that counts. She thought.
Putting everything else aside she had to deal with her mother's lunch in. It was the last thing she wanted to do, considering her brother was usually there to keep her company and to mock the fellow invitees.
Veronica spotted Caroline interrupting a private conversation between her mother and Caroline's. Veronica placed the orchids she was holding onto a side table instructing a volunteer on where to put it.
She approached Caroline who had a sad and distraught look written all over her face. "Anything?" She asked Caroline hopefully about Matt.
"No." The blonde sighed sadly as Veronica rubbed her arm in comfort before the duo walked over to Mystic Falls 'hottest' couple.
"Hey. Any luck finding Matt?" Stefan asked.
"None. What if he tells somebody? What if he tells everybody?" Caroline rambled.
"Care, just breathe. It's gonna be fine." Veronica tried soothing the blondes raging nerves.
"Veronica's right. We gotta find him and make sure that doesn't happen." He reassured quickly before glancing towards Elena. "Do you have any idea where he could be?"
"I wish I did, but he wasn't really one to run." Elena said.
"You know, this wasn't how it was supposed to happen. You know, I was supposed to tell him at the right moment, in the right way, and he was supposed to be okay with it because he loves me." Caroline rambled once again.
"We'll help you find him. I just need to accept this thing for Jenna."
Caroline let out a stressed sigh. "All right. Well, call me when you're done, and I'll be out looking for him."
Veronica watched her best friend leave in a hurry she was too distracted to listen to whatever lovey-dovey crap Stefan and Elena were talking about when her mom signalled for her to come over.

And Elena was accepting the thing for Jenna as a room full of people stared at her, Carol Lockwood announcing her coming.
"And here to accept the donation to the Miranda Sommers-Gilbert scholarship fund is Elena Gilbert." Carol smiled.
The olive-skinned brunette smiled as she walked to join Carol. "The Historical Society was my mom's baby. She considered all of you family and would be honored and touched by this gift."
Her speech was interuppted by the sound of something falling down the stairs. Everyone ran, of course, worried that it might be something important. A death or something. Well, it was, but not a permanent one seeing as Isobel killed John as he was wearing the Gilbert ring, making sure that he'd come back.
Veronica and Stefan shared a look of horror and shock. "Is he gonna be okay?" He grabbed ahold of her arm and pulled her back. "Yeah, he'll be fine. It's the Gilbert family heirloom ring it will protect him from any supernatural death. He'll be fine, I promise." She nodded.
"Go find Elena." Veronica said.
"Are you sure?" He asked. "Yeah. I gotta find my mom anyway. Make sure whatever or whoever that was doesn't hurt my mom."
