TOWN SQUARE
The summer was hectic. Well, for Veronica anyway. Between partying, full moons, being Elena's therapist and what's known as 'family time' as her mother refers to it.
Which is exactly what was she doing now. Carol insisted on having family time in town. They went from shop to shop making poor Tyler carry all the bags. If it wasn't bad enough the poor guy had to shop with his mom and sister.
"Tyler stop whining." Carol scowled her son making Veronica chuckle.
"But Mom-"
"Is that Caroline?" Carol interrupted her son making Ronnie snicker earning a smack from Tyler. She turned to face him, her eyes shining gold. "Ronnie. V." He said in a hushed whisper causing her to shake her head and eyes to turn back to normal. "Yeah, Mom, that's Caroline."
"Isn't she your girlfriend?" Carol asked her son.
"No Mom." Tyler sighed. It was the 5th time that week she had asked him about it.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, Mom I'm sure." Tyler said in annoyance, staring at Caroline dumbfounded.
"Go." Carol told him. He smiled at her sharing the bags evenly between them. "Thanks."
"They're dating." She decided. "Mom." Veronica chuckled.
"Come on, I can smell the bakery calling for us." Veronica said looping her arm with her moms. "Let me guess, pie?"
"No...Yes.." They chuckled.

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE
Veronica, Elena, Caroline and Tyler were all going through red cups and multiple brightly coloured decorations for Elena's birthday party later today.
"I feel like I have to fight Damon every single time we get a lead on Stefan." Elena stressed.
"Maybe he doesn't want to find him." Tyler said.
"Tyler!" Ronnie exclaimed at her brother.
"What? He's into you. Isn't he?" Tyler asked.
"The only reason Stefan left with Klaus was to save Damon's life. I mean, trust me, Damon wants to find him." Elena explained.
"But you kissed him. Probably screwed with his head." Tyler suggested.
"Tyler!" Caroline and Veronica exclaimed simultaneously.
"We're sorry." Caroline apologised referring to her and her werewolf bestie.
"I- - Don't worry about it. Look, yes I kissed him but it was a- - it was a goodbye kiss. I thought he was gonna die." Elena stammered.
