“You want us to start planning our wedding?” Paige asked as she stared at Robin, she wasn’t sure if she had heard him right but she knew that she had; the Dutchman nodded his head as he looked at his fiancée while he gave Alisha her breakfast.

The brunette blinked as she tried to wrap her head around what he was saying, she was currently fourteen weeks pregnant and the two hadn't even thought about a date let alone anything else to do with their wedding.

“I don’t want a long engagement, we’ve done enough waiting and I want to be able to call you mine, so can we at least think about a date,” Robin said as he glanced at Alisha, who was too tired to notice what her parents were talking about; she had school at nine o’clock and wasn’t happy about it.

Paige sighed as she leant against the kitchen, it had only been two weeks since her parents had been at the home with Robin’s and they had made it clear that they wouldn’t tolerate the marriage and would do anything to stop it if they could.

“When do you want to get married?” Robin asked making the brunette lick her lips as she rested her hand on her stomach, she knew that she didn't want to be pregnant when she married Robin and she wanted the baby to be a couple of months old before they wed.

“I don’t know… in about nine months,” Paige said shrugging as she looked at her fiancé, who paused for a moment before he nodded his head; he looked at the brunette as he pushed himself to his feet and walked over to her. The Dutchman wrapped his arms around Paige’s waist and kissed her lips softly.

“How about the 30th of September?” Robin asked as his brown eyes searched Paige’s; he didn't want to have to push their wedding back for anything and a Monday would mean that it didn't clash with any fixtures.

Brushing a hand through her hair, Paige stared at the rack of magazines that she had been looking at for the past ten minutes; it had taken her five attempts before she had been brave enough to approach it.

“What could one magazine hurt?” Paige murmured to herself as she picked up a wedding magazine, she bit her lip knowing that she was being silly and that she was going to have to start thinking about how she wanted to marry Robin especially since she had been thinking about it for years.

Sticking the magazine into the trolley, the brunette walked back to where Robin had said he would be after he had collected some things from the fridge aisle.

“I thought you’d run away for a moment, what took you so long?” Robin asked as he walked towards his fiancée and set the items into the shopping trolley; the brunette flashed him a smile before he noticed the magazine making him raise an eyebrow at her.

Paige blushed as she spotted the look on his face, she knew that he was pleased that she was warming to the idea of marrying him this year; he kissed her softly before they continued their weekly food shop.

“What was your wedding to Bouchra like?” Paige asked curiously as she crossed things off the shopping list, Robin raised an eyebrow at her wondering why she was curious about his first wedding; he was a little surprised that she had asked about it.

“We got married in Rotterdam; it was a big thing… Bouchra mainly organised it,” Robin said shrugging as he walked alongside Paige, he hadn't looked forward to his wedding to Bouchra; something that he knew had meant that he had still been in love with Paige while he was with the Moroccan-Dutch.

“What about you and Evan?” Robin asked making the brunette glance at him; she brushed some hair from her face and changed the subject making Robin look at her curiously, she looked at their list before the Dutchman stopped her.

“We got married in a court house,” Paige revealed as she remembered her first wedding, Robin stared at her as he wondered why the brunette had sacrificed her dream wedding; they had talked about weddings before she had left for Rome, however he never expected that was how she had married Robin.

“You married in a court house?” Robin said softly as he took her hand, he couldn't believe that she hadn't had the wedding that she deserved and he knew that this was his chance to give her that wedding day. Paige sighed as she noticed the look on his face before she nodded her head.

“We couldn't afford much after Alisha was born… hell it took Evan two years to save up for my wedding ring,” Paige said making Robin frown as he remembered how easy things had been for him and Bouchra while the brunette had been left to struggle.

Paige watched the guilt that formed in his brown eyes, she had a feeling that he would feel this way when he learnt how much they had struggled in the first few years of Alisha’s life; even when they seemed to be okay; they struggled to cover their bills.

Robin sat thinking about what Paige had told him while they had been shopping, he hated that she’d had to struggle because he hadn't been told she was pregnant; his mind slowly flickered to the thoughts about how well Bouchra had lived while she had struggled to provide for their daughter.

“Alisha’s sleeping, she’s already asking what she’s getting for her birthday,” Paige said as she shook her head and moved to tidy the ironing away, she had turned twenty-eight a week earlier and she knew that the little girl saw that as a countdown to her own birthday.

Robin nodded his head as he looked at his fiancée, he watched her for a moment wondering how she had been able to forgive him for what he had done to her; she had suffered so much because of her pregnancy with Alisha and he hadn't been there.

“I’m sorry,” Robin said making the brunette stop what she was doing, she looked at the Dutchman confused before she noticed the look on his face; she brushed some hair from her face as she approached him.

“I should have been there for you and Alisha, you deserved so much better than to be married in a court house,” Robin said softly, he stood from his position on their bed; he cupped her face as he noticed the confusion flicker through her eyes.

Paige licked her lips, as she tried to figure what he was doing this for; she knew what had happened wasn’t his fault, he had never known about her pregnancy because people had hidden it from him.

“You had nothing to do with what happened Robin, I have never blamed you,” Paige said as she spotted the tears that started to fill his eyes; she pulled him into a hug as she tried to comfort him, she had no idea what had brought this on and she had a feeling that he had been thinking about this for a while.

“I love you Paige and whatever it takes, I will give you the wedding that you deserve,” Robin said as he held her close, he wasn’t going to allow her to go without the day that she had been thinking about for years.
