Robin spent as much time as he could with Paige after she had been admitted into hospital, he hated to go home without her since he feared that she would be gone by the time that he came back.

The nursing staff seemed thrilled whenever Robin appeared and often mentioned to Paige how luck she was to be engaged to someone like him; she would just nod her head and smile knowing that she couldn’t tell them that the two of them were no longer getting married.

“How are you feeling today?” Robin asked as he stepped into the hospital room, his eyes relieved that she was slowly getting better and the doctor was pleased with her progress; he carefully moved towards Paige, who looked bored as she closed her book.

“Better,” Paige replied as she looked at her ex-fiancé, things between them were still awkward and Robin’s lawyer wasn’t helping things; he had been less than pleased to hear that Robin was paying for Paige’s medical bills and had threatened to sue the brunette over breaching the prenup.

Robin had been furious about the idea and had told his lawyer that he wasn’t going to stop paying for Paige no matter what he said; he wasn’t going to allow the brunette to struggle while she was in hospital and he didn’t care what anyone said.

“Robin, you don’t need to keep coming,” the brunette said softly as she looked at him, she knew that this was hurting him and she didn’t want him to suffer because of her; she was grateful for what he had done for her but they couldn’t keep doing this.

The Dutchman blinked as he looked at her, he knew what she was saying and he understood why; the two of them were no longer together and when she was released from hospital then they would have to go back to the way that they were.

“I know… I just don’t like the idea of you being here alone,” Robin said as he sat down next to her bed, he watched her knowing that they needed to talk; they couldn’t go on like this for much longer and he knew that this needed to be fixed.

Paige looked at him curiously, she knew that he was struggling and after she had signed the prenup; she didn’t think that she deserved him.

“I want you to come home Paige… I can’t do this anymore,” Robin said shaking his head, he wished that they could go back to being happy again; he hated that they were like this. The brunette sighed as she shook her head, she knew that it wouldn’t work.

“So we can live in limbo again? We can’t survive that again,” she said shaking her head sadly knowing that there was no way to fix this.

Paige smiled weakly at José Ras as she settled back on her bed, she was glad that she was finally able to wear her own clothes again; she was sick of the hospital gowns and she couldn’t wait to go home.

The brunette was dressed in a blue PJ top and bottoms as she settled back into the bed, she swallowed as she looked at the woman before her; she knew that José Ras was here for a reason and she had a feeling that it was related to her and Robin.

“Is there something that I can do for you?” Paige asked as she watched the older woman, who sighed as she looked at the brunette wondering how to talk to her about this; she could see that this wasn’t going to be easy but she hoped to repair the damage that had been done.

“I know this isn’t easy on you and Robin… I can see that it’s killing you both but I want you to try and work through this,” José Ras said as she looked at the brunette; she didn’t want the couple to suffer anymore and she hoped that Robin would be able to repair the damage that her ex-husband had done.

Bob had been acting strange since Paige had been admitted to hospital and it made José Ras wary that he was up to something especially since he was still staying at Robin’s home.

“You know that we can’t go back to living that way,” the brunette said as she watched José Ras and hoped that she understood.

José Ras sighed as she looked at the brunette, she knew that this wasn’t going to be easy for them but she wanted them to try; they didn’t deserve what had happened to them and she wasn’t going to give up.

“I have my lawyer looking over the prenup to see if there is a way to end it, I want you and Robin to try,” José Ras said knowing that this wasn’t about just them; there were children caught in the middle of this and they didn’t deserve it either.

Paige stared at José Ras wondering what to think about what she had said, she knew that she was fighting for the couple and she was grateful for that but she wasn’t sure that they could survive this if the prenup was still in place.

Robin looked confused as he stepped back into Paige’s hospital room, he wasn’t sure why his mother had insisted that he returned while he was settling Noah down to bed; the thirteen week old hadn’t noticed yet that he hadn’t seen his mother in a while.

“What’s going on?” the Dutchman asked concerned, he knew that there had to be something going on if Paige had asked for him to come back; he was trying to limit how much time he spent with her since once she was out of hospital, things would go back to the way that they had been.

“Where you serious about what you said this morning?” Paige asked as she looked at him, she knew that she had to make the first move after turning Robin down that morning; she had hurt him again and she hated herself for it.

The Dutchman nodded his head as he walked towards her, his heart beating painfully as he realised what she was talking about; he stared at her hopefully knowing that if she said yes then they could make this work.

Paige swallowed as she looked at him, she wasn’t sure what else she could say here; she shifted nervously as Robin watched her as he took a seat next to her bed.

“You want to come home?” Robin said hopefully as he watched her, he could see that she was nervous and he wanted to help her; she nodded her head softly as she peeked at him as she lowered her head, she knew that he didn’t have to take her in after all she had done to him.

“Only if you want me to… if you don’t then it’s fine I understand,” Paige said as she looked down at her hands, she couldn’t bring herself to look at him as her words sunk in; Robin blinked as he stared at her, he felt his heart lurch as he realised what she had said.

“Of course I want you home… I’ve missed you,” Robin said as he carefully took her hand, she might have been taken off the feeding tube but she was still on a drip; he moved closer to her feeling relieved that she was opening up again.

The couple were silent for a moment before Robin cupped Paige’s face making her look at him, he smiled at her softly as he realised that they were slowly recovering; he knew that it would take work but he was willing to try anything so that he could be with her.

“I love you,” Robin said softly as he carefully ran his fingers through her hair, he smiled at her gently before he pulled her into a kiss; he knew that this was only the start of fixing their relationship.
