Chapter Twenty-One: Trouble with Bouchra

“You want to do what?” Robin snapped as he stared at his ex-wife as he tried to wrap his head around the news that she had dropped on him; he had not expected her to tell him that she planned to take his children out of the country.

“Daniel got a job in America and I want to take the children with me,” Bouchra said calmly as she pulled out some paperwork and placed it in front of Robin, she licked her lips as she stared at her former husband and hoped that he would sign it.

The Dutchman stared at her in disgust wondering why she thought that he would be willing to allow her to take his children out of the country.

“You honestly think that I’m going to allow you to take my children away from me,” Robin said in disbelief as Bouchra realised that he wasn’t going to sign the paperwork that would allow her to take their children out of the country; she swallowed as she looked down at her hands.

“I just want to be happy Robin,” Bouchra said as she glanced over at Paige who was walking passed the room, her eyes glared at the brunette that was carrying Robin’s fourth child; the Dutchman snorted as he looked at his ex-wife knowing what she was trying to do.

“You expect me to feel sorry for you, Bouchra, you are the one that filed for divorce,” Robin snorted as he watched his ex-wife, he didn't believe for a moment that this was just happening now; he knew that she’d known about the move prior to their current meeting.

Bouchra pursed her lips; she knew that she’d have to convince the footballer to sign the paperwork if she wanted to take her children with her; however she didn't know what she could say to convince him to do so when she knew he’d never see them again.

“Please Robin… Daniel and I wish to start a new, just like you and Paige have here,” the Moroccan-Dutch pleaded with him hoping that this would convince him to sign the paperwork; she needed to be with her husband and she didn't care what it took. Robin watched her for a moment before he shook his head.

“I won’t let you take my children from me… I’ll fight for them with everything that I have Bouchra,” Robin said as he stared his ex-wife down while Shaqueel listened at the door.

The little boy had been upset to hear that his mother wanted to leave England and when he learnt that he wouldn’t see his father again, he hadn't been sure that he wanted to go with his mother and Daniel.

“Then we’ll have to take this to court,” Bouchra said annoyed as she glared at Robin, she couldn't believe that he hadn't given her what she had wanted; she had hoped that they wouldn’t need to go to court over this.

Robin nodded his head as he watched his ex-wife, he didn't care what it took he wasn’t going to let her take his children from him; he would fight for them and this time he wasn’t going to let her win.

Paige looked at her fiancé concerned as she watched him with the children, she was a little surprised to see all three of them getting along since Shaqueel was getting along with Alisha; the last time he was here, he had made it clear that he didn't like the little girl.

“Robin?” Paige asked softly as she rested a hand on her stomach, she was fifteen week pregnant and she knew that he was going to be a little stressed out later on when the children were all in bed.

The footballer looked at her with a small smile on his face before he moved off the couch and padded over to her, he kissed her lips softly then gently moved her back into the hallway; he knew that she was worried and he knew that she had every right to be.

“I’m worried that Bouchra might try to do a runner with the children,” Robin said softly making Paige look at him concerned, she tilted her head wondering what she could say that would ease his mind; she knew that Bouchra wouldn’t risk taking Robin on if she thought that she would lose.

“You could speak with your lawyer… you know, find a way to make sure that she can’t,” Paige said as she took his hands in hers; she knew that Robin would do anything for the children and she hoped that he would be able to make sure that Bouchra didn't take Shaqueel and Dina from him.

“I know… I just worry, I feel like a failed Alisha because I wasn’t there for her and I don’t want to miss anything in any of their lives again,” Robin said making Paige nod her head understandingly; she knew that he felt guilty about what had happened with their daughter, even if it hadn't been his fault.

Brushing some hair from her face, the brunette sighed as she watched her fiancé for a moment; she licked her lips knowing that whatever happened he was going to need her.

“I am here no matter what you decided to do,” Paige said as she pressed a kiss to his lips; the Dutchman smiled at her weakly knowing that he would do whatever it took to make sure that his family stayed intact, he wasn’t about to allow anything to tear them apart.

“Thank you,” Robin said as he wrapped his arms around her, the brunette nodded her head as she rested a hand on her stomach; she knew that even with the child that she was carrying that he wouldn’t cope if Bouchra took his children from him.

“Are you sure about this Bouchra? We’ll get into a lot of trouble if we take the children without Robin’s permission,” Daniel said as he looked at his wife concerned; he knew that she wanted to start anew in America, but he wasn’t sure about this.

Bouchra sighed as she looked at her husband; she knew that if Robin found out what she was planning then there was going to be trouble; however she didn't want to spend the rest of her life attached to her former husband.

“It’s the only way that we can leave… Robin will never allow us to take them,” Bouchra said bitterly as she thought about her ex-husband, she couldn't stand to watch him with his fiancée anymore; it made her feel sick every time that she saw a picture of the two of them.

Daniel sighed as he looked at his wife, he didn't like what she was suggesting and he knew that it would ruin his career if it was discovered that he was involved in her abducting the children.

“I won’t be a part of this Bouchra… I’m flying to New York tomorrow and I want you to think carefully about this and if you have to go to court then so be it,” Daniel said as he kissed her softly, he didn't know what he would do if she didn't listen to him; he knew that she’d lose the children completely if she went through with her plan.

Watching her husband walk away, Bouchra pursed her lips as she turned her thought back to her plan; she knew what she stood to lose if she went through with it but she didn't know if she stood a chance against Robin if this went to court.

Taking a deep breath, Bouchra turned her attention back to booking tickets for her and her children the following week; she knew that one way or another, she was going to be leaving the country with Shaqueel and Dina.

She wasn’t going to allow Robin to dictate her life for her anymore, this was her chance to live her life and she was going to take it.
