before I get into this chapter, I just want to say that I made a video for this chapter ^, and I would truly appreciate comments about what you all thought about it! :) Thank you!!

(The video has slight nudity, if you feel uncomfortable with that please don't click! I don't wanna ruin the younglings lol)

The movie is called Untamed heart, and if you couldn't see the resemblance before, that's Aunt May from Spider-Man homecoming!!

The knocks continued, Dolores raised her eyebrows at me, and all I could do was look to her with fright. She hesitantly put the phone down and signaled for me to hide. I ran to the stairwell, not to far from the door. I was hidden behind the wall, away from plain sight. I sat there waiting as I heard her heels click while she walked to the door.

"Hello, how can I help you?" Dolores spoke out and I held my breath.

"Good morning ma'am." The man who knocked on the door replied. "We are here on the Kings orders."

Dolores gasped. "Oh dear, have I done anything wrong?" She asked.

"Well not that we know of Ma'am." He laughed. "Last night the Kings Luna ran away, and he is very desperate to find her. We come here with the business of asking everyone in the empire if they have seen her."

"The King found a mate? Oh that's just wonderful!" She said joyfully, while I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "I'll keep my eye out for her, say. What does she look like?"

"It's pretty hard to miss her." He joked. "She's human, quite tall, curly hair, tan skin. That's as much as we've seen."

Dolores was quiet for a second, and my lungs felt like collapsing. "I'll make sure that if I find her, straight to the king I'll tell!" She laughed. "Is that all or would you like to come in for breakfast? If she's been gone since last night I doubt any of you fine guards have had any time to rest or eat." She offered.

Oh lord, what was she doing!

"Thank you, but we must be on her way. The faster we find our Luna, the faster we can go back home." The guard replied. "Have a nice morning Ma'am."

Dolores closed the door, then started walking towards my hidden figure. Her shadow loomed over me and I looked up to her from my sitting position. She had her hands on her hips and a stern expression on her face. "I've never lied to my King, you have a lot of explaining to do. Luna."

I gulped and stood up straighter. "I- I"

"I didn't say right here," She said while walking back to the dining room. "Over breakfast like I said earlier."

I followed her and we both sat down, she ate as I explained why I ran away. How I feared Lucas, how I wasn't okay with the idea of being forever linked to a stranger.

Now we were both in the kitchen, she was standing by watching and listening to me explain myself as I washed the dishes, I don't know how she convinced me to though.

"I left because I didn't feel safe there. Surely you can understand why." I told her while drying off the last plate.

She sighed and shook her head. "No dear, I don't. Your mate is supposed to protect you. They exude the feeling of safeness." She emphasized.

Though I hate to admit it, she was right. I did feel that sense of relaxation around Lucas at times. "No Dolores, you can't put that much faith in anyone." I said simply, drying my hands.

"Is that so?" She said. "Who hurt you so badly, that you feel you cant even trust your soulmate?" She asked.

My words got stuck in my throat, Dolores had earned my trust by not ratting me out and telling the guards I was in her home. "Someone who was supposed to show me what love was." I whispered. My head hung low, as I blinked the tears away.

She nodded in understanding. "Your father, huh?"

I nodded, my forehead crinkled. "How'd you guess?" I questioned her.

"Eh." She shrugged, throwing her hands in the air. "It was a 50/50 between your mother and father."

I laughed slightly. Wiping the traitor tear that fell.

She smiled back at me softly before her smile dropped. "Dear, what did he do to you." She mumbled.

"What didn't he do?" I responded. My hand rested on the counter top. She quickly limped over to me, and engulfed me in a hug. She was shorter than me so I had to bend down to hug her small figure.

"Now, now child. Let it all out." She said referring to my shaking body. "Don't you worry now, he isn't here to hurt you anymore." She cooed.

Her words only made me cry harder, how I longed for a life where I didn't have to look over my shoulder in fear. How I longed for someone to show me love. She pulled back slowly, she wiped the tears from my cheek and then cupped it. "Ma chouchoutte."

(My darling)

I felt a breeze on my stomach, I looked down in confusion to see that the shirt had been un tucked from my skirt. Before I could tuck it in, she saw them too.

"Mon Dieu." she exclaimed. Her eyes snapped to mine. "He did those too?" She whispered.

I seriously had a problem with this. How had I gone all throughout my life not showing them, but the minute I arrive here, all they want to do is be seen.

I simply nodded, and she threw her arms over me again. Shaking her head as if she couldn't believe it. She pulled away. "We have to tell The king!"

I shook my own head, grabbing her hands. "No!" I said quickly. "No one knows about how I got these. And I want to keep it that way." I stated.

She couldn't believe what I was saying. "Child, no! Why are you protecting your father, lest he be called that." She spat out the last part.

"Because!" I exclaimed. "I don't want to think of any longer. I've spent my whole life fearing him, and now I'm away from him. I don't want to attract him anywhere near me."

"Don't worry about him coming near you! Your mate will make sure of it, your father will be a dead man once Alpha finds out he laid a finger on you." She reasoned with me.

I shook my head, letting go of her hands.

I walked over to the dinning table with a rag. my bare feet made little noise as I made my way to the room. I went with the intent of wiping it clean.

"Whose to say, that Lucas wouldn't do the same." I whispered, finally arriving to the table, and starting to wipe it. Grabbing the crumbs that fell into the palm of my hands.

I heard Dolores gasp. I turned to see her with a shocked expression.

"How about we ask him." She whispered, and pointed to the window behind me.

I followed her finger, and at the end of the point stood Lucas, anger imminent in his eyes, but not his composure. His slightly disgruntled figure glared at where I stood behind the glass.

Well, fuck.
