Jeanne's POV:

"Dumbass!" I punched Cade, my hand immediately screamed in agony. "Damn it!" I shook my hand, trying to alleviate the pain from punching him, away.

He lifted his head up slightly after I had knocked it down, blood covering his crooked teeth as he smiled wickedly at me, the sight makes me want to roll my eyes.

"You done?" He asked while wiping a trail of the crimson liquid off his chin, "Because if so, stop acting like a bit-" I silenced him with another punch.

"Shut up." I seethed out, spitting on him slightly. I brought my good hand up and ran it through the greasy gold locks of my hair, cringing at the feeling.

He scowled at me, walking away from me. Leaves crunching under his thunderous steps, sitting down on the forest floor, using a tree for back support. He muttered curses the whole walk and I ignored him, instead, trying to come up with a new plan to get us out of the hole he had created, Lucas by now probably knew that it was us who orchestrated the whole event that took place.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to calm down from the stress of this stupid plan. "You had one job..." I said calmly. "You were supposed to take that bitch so we had something to leverage over!" I said now yelling at the top of my lungs, causing the birds to break free from their rest on the branches and screech as they flew away. "She was the advantage we could have had!"

He looked me over, his ice like eyes looked as though they were taking amusement in this situation. "So? We'll just do it again."

I picked up a pebble lying next to my feet and chucked it at him. The speed and the impact causing a bruise to form immediately. I heard him growl, trying to intimidate me and I just looked at him with raised eyebrows, daring him. "Are you dumb?"

"Stop hitting me you bitch, and make a plan!" He rubbed his forehead. Dropping his gaze, in what I took for submission.

I rolled my eyes, "I did have a plan, but you went around and screwed me over!"

He threw his hands in the air, clearly frustrated with me. But I gave not a single fuck about how he felt about me. "I told you already! The gun jammed!"

I tilted my head, not believing him. "Did it jam when you killed all those people, huh? The kids? Did it jam when you shot them in between their eyes?!"

"It was no one important!" He stared me down. "Why do you even care, don't forget, you killed also." He stood up, taking menacingly large steps towards me.

I took the last step forward, so we were eye to eye. "I killed that guard because it was needed! Not for the joy of it, I want to rule this pack. Not go around killing anyone and everyone!" I yelled through clenched teeth.

He didn't say anything, just huffed in anger and moved away from me, going back to where he was seated before. I watched through narrowed eyes as he sat back down. I looked around the forest, we were a good hundred miles away from the kingdom, out near the outskirts and looming by the border. It was daylight outside, the snow was beginning to melt as January was coming to an end.

"Listen." I looked over at Cade, who had his hands folded. Now looking gravely serious. "I still have her old mans number, if anyone knows how to deal with her- it's him."

"Look at you." I cooed mockingly. "Finally using that small brain of yours."

He chuckled menacingly, opening his mouth to speak to me before he shut it. Shaking his head. "Some Luna you'll be."
