Haeun's POV

After leaving my math class, time seemed to fly by so much quicker. In just the blink of an eye, I found myself here. With you. In our café.

We sat at our usual table in the far corner. Many memories surrounded this little table.

It was where it all began. Our first date. And many more after.

The café was definitely small, yet beautiful in its own unique way. The pastries lined the front of the counter within their crystal clear, glass casing. The lighting was always dimmed slightly, leaving it with the perfect atmosphere for a cup of coffee. The walls were decorated with countless photographs in beautifully embroidered, chocolate brown frames.

It was a family café after all. Just that fact alone made the place feel cozy and homey, one of the reasons we enjoyed visiting here all the time. Though I didn't know the family personally, I always loved seeing each new photo go up on the wall from the most recent vacation.

It made me feel like I was a part of it all...

"You should call him." The sound of your voice instantly pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Wait. What?"

"I said you should call him. I don't want you failing math Haeun-ah." You laughed as these words left your mouth, and I smiled seeing you so cheerful. It doesn't matter what mood I'm in, but whenever I see you genuinely happy like this, I can't help the warmth I feel in my heart.

"But I thought you wouldn't want me to. Because-" I stopped midsentence. I felt embarrassed for what I was about to say to you. My eyes began to stray away from yours, not wanting to hold eye contact at this moment.

"What? You thought I would be jealous? Aish, don't worry about such things. I'm a confident guy. I know that I'm the only one for you." I felt the heat rising in my cheeks from your words. You seemed to reiterate your confidence by staring at me smugly with a slight smirk tugging at your lips as if you knew well what your words did to me.

"Well, I mean, why don't you tutor me? It would make things a lot easier." You stared at me for a split second before bursting out into laughter once again.

"Me? Haeun you know I suck at math." You said each word between a laugh. Eventually, I laughed along with you.

Yes. I knew you were bad at math. Probably worse than me.

But I was scared to call him...Park Jimin. Yet, I didn't know why. With the jealously thing cleared up, there was still something holding me back.

Yet, I decided to agree anyway.

"Fine. You're probably right. I can't be failing math. I'll call him tomorrow to let him know."

"Better yet, why don't you just call him now?"

"What why?" I asked this with confusion on my face as I saw you pick up my phone that laid face down next to my blueberry muffin.

"The better question is why not. The sooner the better." You handed me my phone back, after already dialing the boy, Park Jimin. The phone was already ringing, and in my state of panic, my finger moved to hang up before he would even have the chance to answer.

But, as I moved my finger to the red button, I realized it was too late when I saw the numbers appear on the screen, signaling me that he had already answered. With that, I placed the phone against my ear.

"Hello?" His voice sounded different than this morning, though I couldn't grasp what made that so. Was it the tone of the voice? A difference in pitch? Whatever it was, I knew that it sounded off, as if it wasn't even him.

But then again, I didn't get a good enough listen of his voice earlier to be able to distinguish it well anyways.

"Hi. Park Jimin? This is Nam Haeun."

"Haeun? I didn't actually expect you to call."

"Well...it's just, I changed my mind about the whole tutoring thing. I think I really need it."

"Okay, great! Talk to me after class tomorrow and we can figure out when we'll meet."

"Okay, thanks. Bye." I hung up the phone as I faintly heard Jimin say bye as well on the other side.

"Well, I guess I got a tutor." I said this while looking towards you. I then noticed you were eating my blueberry muffin and I glared at you playfully. You simply held your hands up in mock surrender while swallowing quickly.

"Sorry, sorry. And that's great!... Now let's get back to me, you spent enough time talking to that other guy." You then reached over the table to give me a peck on my forehead before sitting back down with a childish grin. I scoffed at this, my eyes wide with amusement.

"What do you mean? You were the one who told me to call him!" I laughed as you shrugged.

"Besides, what happened to being confident and not being jealous?" I said this, now a smirk on my face.

But, as you leaned closer to me once again, with a faint yet clear smile, the smirk I wore on my face quickly disappeared and was replaced with very familiar butterflies in my stomach.

"Just because I know I'm the only guy for you doesn't mean I don't want to show it."
