Third Person Pov

Haeun opens her eyes to a blinding light, her vision spotted with fuzzy black dots as she has trouble adjusting from the pitch black of night to the sudden arrival of the sun still floating above the horizon. She notices a face in the mist of dots, but she finds it difficult to make out the face.

Eventually though, her vision clears up just enough to make out the face of none other than Park Jimin.

"J-jimin?" Haeun squints at him, trying to confirm the man's identity.

"Oh thank god, I wasn't sure if you were asleep or passed out." He didn't have to respond to her question of confirmation. She instantly recognizes his voice and jolts up into a sitting position.

"Wait what happened? I wasn't asleep though...The world was spinning...It was already night time...Why am I suddenly here?... Did I actually pass out?" Haeun begins to spew out question after question, unable to comprehend what has happened. Jimin tries to make out every word she says, though, in her confused state, the words slur together.

"Woah, woah, hey calm down Haeun, you're okay, please, try to slow down. Can you try to remember what happened?" Jimin gently places his hand on Haeun's shoulder, attempting to give the shaken girl some comfort.

"J-jimin where's T-taehyung?" Jimin freezes at the mention of this name. It seems that no matter what situation Jimin finds himself in with this girl, the name Taehyung always seems to make an appearance. He can't escape it. He feels a pit begin to grow in his stomach, paining him more by the second. He quickly identifies the feeling to be jealousy.

And he doesn't deny it. Yes, he is jealous of Taehyung. He's jealous because he has something that he can't have. Jimin grits his teeth, now also feeling slightly pathetic for being so envious of a person he's never even met before.

But then he takes one more look at the face of the girl in front of him. She's terrified. She's confused. And that's enough for him to put jealousy aside to do everything in his power to provide answers and comfort.

"Haeun...you've been alone. There's no one else here." Haeun stares at Jimin even more confused at this new revelation.

No...There's no way. He was here just a second ago. I just know it. That's not possible.

These thoughts go through Haeun's head as she racks her brain for an explanation or any proof that Taehyung really is somewhere close by.

"He drove his car here. Didn't you see a car parked nearby Jimin?"

"No...I'm sorry Haeun. I parked my car nearby, and I didn't see any other car within a mile from here. Maybe he was here with you earlier but he left?"

Haeun can feel the frustration growing within her. Frustration directed not towards Jimin, but towards herself for not being able to make sense of the situation. Frustration towards herself because no matter how hard she digs back into her memory, she can't seem to remember clearly what possibly could have happened.

"No. No. That's not possible. H-he was right here. He was here just a second ago before I saw you." At this point, Jimin has his arm wrapped completely around her trembling figure. Neither seem to focus on this fact though. Haeun's mind is in a mess searching for answers. Jimin can only think about comforting the girl he cares so much about.

"It's possible though Haeun...Time can fly when you're asleep...or passed out. You don't even realize it slipping by."

Jimin's words further confuse Haeun. Did she really fall asleep after? Maybe that's what happened...

No...no. Taehyung was still there in front of her. He was still there when things went out of control. When the whole world began to spin. And that voice... With him by her side now, she knew it belonged to Jimin. There's no way she fell asleep. Taehyung disappeared the same time Jimin appeared. She's sure of that.

"Hey..." Jimin breaks Haeun out of her thoughts when he places a hand firmly on each shoulder. "Forget about it for now. Just relax okay?" With wide eyes, Haeun slowly nods. Jimin gives a comforting smile before rubbing slow circles on her back. Haeun closes her eyes, urging her breathing to find a normal pace once again.

"W-what are you doing here Jimin?"

"Oh uh...I like to come here from time to time. To be alone. I was pretty surprised to see you here. I didn't know anyone else knew about this place."

"Same here." Haeun gives a nervous chuckle with these words, her breathing beginning to slow to a normal pattern.

"Funny coincidence huh?" Haeun smiles slightly and nods. "It really is beautiful here."

Haeun doesn't even need to respond verbally. They both agree to this statement in silence by staring off into the lake. Jimin's hand still rests on Haeun's back, both of them so accustomed to the feeling at this point that neither of them acknowledge it.

The sun begins to set once again, the scene all too similar to Haeun. Only, she notices one small difference. The sun disappears under the ripples of water, the jagged line of trees nowhere to be seen. She stares intensely at the sunset in wonder.

"Tell me about him." Jimin's voice comes out of nowhere, surprising not only Haeun but himself as well.

"Who?"

"Your boyfriend...Taehyung." Jimin can't help but feel curious about the boy that holds her heart in his hands. "O-only if you want to though." Haeun laughs quietly.

"I-I don't mind. Well, I met Taehyung four years ago and somehow we became friends. We started dating a year later, and well, he's the most amazing guy I've ever met. He's so sweet and caring. He can be childish at times, but he can be serious when he needs to be. He's been with me through the darkest of times." Jimin bites his lip hard hearing her talk so fondly about another guy.

"He sounds like a great guy. And he's lucky to have you too." Haeun feels herself blush at the indirect compliment.

"Thanks...What about you Jimin? Is there someone you like?"

Yeah...You. The words sound painful in his head.

"Y-yeah. Someone from our school. She doesn't feel the same way though."

"Have you told her though? You won't know for sure unless you try."

"Tru-ust me Haeun. I'm sure." His words are filled with sadness, but Haeun doesn't seem to notice the pain hidden behind his words.

"Ohhh...okay..."

"Let's...let's just talk about something else. Uhh... What's your family like?"

"Hmm? Oh well, there's not much to say. I'm an only child...And my parents left me with my aunt when I was pretty little...They never really cared much about me. It's sad..even after they left me I used to imagine we were still a family. I'm able to lucid dream, so back then I would pretend that I-"

That's when realization dawns on her. She stares blankly at Jimin as he looks both curiously and worriedly at the girl in front of him. But this doesn't faze her, as the realization leaves her body in shock.

Was...was today just a dream?
