Haeun's POV
The sky was a piercing blue and the sun was like a comforting hug, but the bright colors were juxtaposed by black apparel and gloomy expressions. I peeled my eyes off of the casket that laid before me to take a look at my surroundings. Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jin were sat in the seats beside me. The scene was adorned with bouquets of a variety of flowers, spanning the different shades of the rainbow. Just like Taehyung would've liked it. He was never able to pick a favorite flower.
Everything was just as Namjoon described. This was exactly where I was supposed to be.
"Next, Nam Haeun has prepared a few words." I left my seat without hesitation and stepped forward in front of everyone. I hadn't prepared a speech, but the words came out in an instant, as if all the time I had spent with him this last year had built up to this very moment.
"Taehyung was truly the sweetest, most wonderful person I had ever met, and I will forever be grateful that in the short time he had, our lives were able to cross paths. I can't even express in words just how much I miss him. Our time shared together may have been short, but the memories we made will stay with me for a lifetime.
My eyes caught a glimpse of a white coated figure emerging from the bodies of black. It was Taehyung. I had to pause for a small gasp of air seeing just how angelic he looked.
No, not just angelic. He was an actual angel.
"He was so much more to me than just a boyfriend. He was also my best friend. My savior. The person I was always able to count on. There's so much I wish I could've said to him." Our eyes lock onto eachother's and it was as if I was speaking directly to him. "Thank you for being my guiding light through the darkest times. For being there when I lost my family. For giving me a shoulder to cry on. But also for being there during my happiest moments."
His lips curled up into one of the most beautiful smiles I had ever seen. It was contagious. Even in this moment I couldn't help but return a bittersweet smile.
"I hope you're in a better place now. Goodbye Taehyung."
My eyes never left his face as I walked back to my seat. I expected his figure to vanish at my final words, but surprisingly he began walking towards me. He extended his hand out to me, beckoning me to follow his lead. I was perplexed at first but eventually took his hand and followed him to the back.
"I love you Haeun, and I will always love you," he started.
"Taehyung I lo—"
"No please, let me finish," he said, cutting me off, "and because I love you, I want you to be happy."
"I might not seem happy right now but things will get better—"
"I know they will. But to do that, I need you to let me go."
"How could I ever do that? How could I ever find what we had?"
"But you've already found it again Haeun. With Jimin."
"I just- I just feel like it's too soon." Taehyung chuckled at my response.
"You've already wasted a whole year on me. I want you to be happy again. I need you to move on. You can do that right? For me?" I faltered slightly, but I couldn't resist his pleading eyes and beaming smile. I soon find myself slowly nodding.
"Good. I'll be rooting for you and Jimin," he said with his box smile. "Goodbye sweetheart." He leaned in to give me a kiss on my forehead, our hands still intertwined. As he pulled away, his hand gradually started to leave mine. His body began to dematerialize before me.
I woke up with my arm still reaching towards where Taehyung once was. Placing my palm on my heart, I know where I want to go. Where I need to go.

Jimin's POV
I turn my head towards the front door of my apartment at the sound of a light knock. Was I expecting someone? A bit unsure, I go to open the door. My face instantly lights up seeing Haeun.
"Hey Jimin."
"Hey, what brings you here?"
"I- I need to tell you something." A puzzled expression appears on my face as I see her anxious one.
"Go ahead, you can tell me anything," I encourage her. She still seems hesitant. At this point, a mixture of curiosity and worry begins growing within me—
"I like you." With just those three words, it is as if the world has stopped spinning. All I can do is stare in my dazed state. I start to wonder if I am the one dreaming now. "Jimin?" Her hand moves towards mine, our skin barely grazing eachother.
And I don't what came over me. Maybe it was her touch. Maybe it was my heart that was beating so fast it was bound to leave my chest. But in just a split second, I find that my hand has moved to gently grasp the side of her face, my face leaning in towards hers. My eyes fixate onto hers, with just brief moments where they would venture down and linger on her lips. I notice her doing the same.
And so I close this space between us.
Our lips connect. Her body melts into mine. And nothing has ever felt so perfect.
