a week later
Haeun's POV

I was sat on the bed of your apartment, casually surfing the web on my laptop. But though my eyes were skimming various things I came across on the web, my mind was in another place.

I couldn't help but think about yesterday, my second tutoring session with Jimin. It went so much better than the first, though to be completely honest it would've been very hard for it to be any worse.

I smiled internally thinking about how he was so kind and patient with me. How he actually got me to understand some of the material. How though it still felt a little awkward, neither of us tried to bring up the "kissing" incident.

Maybe it was the fact that I was so deprived of social contact with anyone that wasn't you because of my inability to approach people. But I felt a rush while I was with him.

I silently laughed to myself, thinking how silly I was being. Here I am, happy over having a nice time during a tutoring session. He probably couldn't care less about any of this, and he probably doesn't even want to be any more than a tutor to me. But maybe at the end of the day, I didn't need any more than someone new to talk to.

And I had you to thank for that.

I looked over at you, kneeled down by your TV stand. You were organizing the DVDs that laid messily around your TV. I admired your form, your casual yet handsome appearance. Taehyung, my everything.

It was quiet between us, but rather an awkward silence, it was a comfortable one. We had simply grown to love being in the presence of each other. There was no need for conversation. No need for any spoken words. Because just being in the same room together alone was enough to speak wonders.

And so we both continued to do our own things for a while, existing in a peaceful silence. A silence only broken by the soft clicks of my laptop, your hands as you flipped through numerous DVD cases, and the birds chirping through the opened window.

And after a while, in this silence, I had lost the concept of time, unaware of its passing. Was it hours later? Minutes? Maybe it was mere seconds. But whatever it was, in whatever passage of time, I found that you were soon by my side. Your arm was placed around my shoulder, your fingers lightly playing with the ends of my hair.

I smiled, closing the lid of my laptop and moving it to the side. Though you were already so close to me, I found a way to get closer, snuggling deeper into you.

"We have to do something tomorrow Haeun-ah." You whispered this to me, lips gently grazing my ear. I tilted my head up so that I could meet your eyes.

"So suddenly?"

You chuckled, the vibrations of your deep, soothing voice pulsing through me as my hands were on your chest.

"What do you mean? Tomorrow's a special day, we have to do something." Your hand had moved to my back, rubbing so slowly and gently that I would've missed it if it weren't for the warmth of your palm. "You didn't think I would forget your birthday right?"
