Third Person POV

"Hey...Jimin. What are you doing here? Did you want to work on the project?" Namjoon stares at the boy in front of him with a puzzled expression, confused by the unexpected visit.

"No, no it's not that. I kinda need to talk to you about something important." Seeing the concern and urgency in his eyes, Namjoon silently welcomes Jimin into his apartment simply by pulling the door fully open.

Taehyung pulled the door fully open and automatically smiled at the sight of his girlfriend behind the door.

"Hey Haeun wasn't expecting you, how's it going?" He then noticed the look on her face, and his smile quickly turned to a frown.

"Not so well. I need to talk to you about something important." Knowing now was a time to be serious, Taehyung silently nodded, welcoming Haeun into his apartment, ready to hear what she needed to talk about.

"So...what is it that you needed to talk to me about?" Namjoon and Jimin have settled in the living room. The atmosphere is heavy, Namjoon still unaware of what is happening, and Jimin worried about what he may soon learn.

"There's this café. Your photos are up on the wall there. Do you know the place?" Namjoon becomes even more perplexed, wondering why this café would be a subject of interest or concern to the boy in front of him.

"Jin's café? Yeah, I know it. I go there all the time. W-what about it?"

"Well, there's this one particular picture of you...with Haeun," Jimin notices Namjoon's body tense at the mention of her name. Namjoon doesn't say anything at first, waiting for the boy to continue, "what's your relationship with her?" Hearing his question, Namjoon stands from the couch.

"Look...Jimin...I'm sorry but I'm not comfortable talking about her. A-and if that's all you needed I would really like it if you could go, please."

"Haeun-ah what's wrong? What do you need to talk to me about?" Taehyung's face was filled with worry.

"Tae, the café we go too...I don't know how I never noticed it but our photos are up there. They only put up photos of friends and family...Do you know why they're there?"

"Oh...is that what this is about? Haeun-ah I'm friends with the café owner. That's why our photos are on the wall. Don't you remember?" Haeun's brain just couldn't wrap around this new information. She wondered how it was possible for her to forget such a detail about her boyfriend. She wondered if it was really true.

"Wait. So does that mean you know Namjoon?"

"No! Look Namjoon, you don't understand. This is really important. I really need to know." Jimin pleads for Namjoon to open up about his relationship with Haeun. Namjoon lets out a painful sigh, still hesitant to answer.

"I'm sorry Jimin. I can't-"

"Okay, Namjoon, you don't want to talk about her. But could you tell me about Taehyung?" It seems impossible, but Namjoon's expression falls farther at the mention of this new name. This doesn't go unnoticed by Jimin, clearly seeing the change. "So...you know him right Namjoon?"

"Of course I know him...Taehyung's my brother." Jimin's stares at Namjoon in shock.

Haeun stared at Taehyung, awaiting an answer.

"Nam-namjoon r-right, he's just a friend too Haeun." Haeun didn't respond, sensing the uncertainty in his answer. Her brain still couldn't absorb all this information. It all seemed like too simple of an explanation. It all didn't seem to add up.

"Hey, hey Haeun-ah." Taehyung rubbed the girl's shoulder, attempting to bring comfort. "Are you feeling stressed? That's why you're forgetting things? Let me get your mind off of this. Let's watch a movie."

It all seems like a movie for Jimin. It all seems unreal. How all the dots are connecting like this. So unexpectantly.

"Y-your brother?" Jimin mumbles this, his voice filled with disbelief. Namjoon simply nods to confirm this fact. His face is sad as he does this.

Even knowing this, Jimin realizes that the only way to get answers is to find out about Namjoon's past with Haeun. He feels bad for pushing him, understanding well that the girl is a subject of pain to Namjoon. But regardless, his love for Haeun urges him to keep pushing.

For Jimin is the only one capable of uncovering the truth. A truth Haeun wasn't going to get from Taehyung. From herself.

"So you know Haeun because she is your brother's girlfriend. B-but why are you so upset with her? Did she do something to you? Or to Taehyung?" Namjoon gives Jimin a puzzled look at his question.

"W-what do you mean is Taehyung's girlfriend... she was Taehyung's girlfriend."

"What? But they seemed happy together. They broke up?"

"Well...no...not exactly, I guess."

"Then, then what happened?" Namjoon gulps, not wanting to answer the question. Not wanting to speak the words he hoped he'd never have to say out loud again. Because the thought of it kills him every day. But he knows it's time to put aside his past pain. Because the man before him looks desperate. He looks confused. So Namjoon lets the words come out of his mouth.

"Taehyung died a year ago in a car crash."

--

Haeun snuggled up to Taehyung, tears in her eyes as the scene in front of her unfolded. She watched as the rescue boat drifted in an ocean of dead bodies.

"Taehyung why did we have to watch Titanic. I'm a mess now." Haeun looked over to see that Taehyung too had tears escaping his eyes.

"It's your favorite movie."

"Yeah, I know. I still cry every time though..." The two watched as Rose released her grasp of Jack, his body sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss of the water.

"I don't know if I would've been able to do it," Haeun and Taehyung turned their heads to face each other, Taehyung giving her a questioning look, waiting for her to clarify. "If that were you...I don't know if I would've been able to let go."

Taehyung turned his body around so that he was completely facing her. Haeun following his lead. He held her hands tightly in his. The only thing the two were able to focus on was the other's eyes. The movie still played in the background.

"Haeun-ah, what would you do... if I died?..." His voice was curious, but there was a hint of seriousness as he asked this. Haeun's breaths were heavy before she answered.

"I would never be able to live without you Taehyung."
