Little Bit of Heaven

Protecting

I giggled as I flew through the cool air, letting the wind guide me through the mortal realm.

Fall time was one of my favorite times of the year! The cool, crisp wind flowing through your wings as the sun kept you warm; the calming breeze that would send a flurry of different and wonderful smells that would surround you... It's just perfect...

I glided down to the human world, going into one of the dense forests they have.

I loved the nature down here and how, even with short lives, the beings here lived and thrived! Fighting for survival, yet being caring and compassionate all the same! It was exciting!

I folded my wings within my body, shaking a bit at the feeling. It always felt weird when I did that.

Ignoring it, I walked around the peaceful place. I loved this forest in particular. So calming and quiet...

I hopped over a large fallen tree and landed on the soft ground a moment later. I tried to skip away, but something grabbed me by my ankle and thigh!

It laughed as it picked me up, hanging me upside down. I yelped in shock and slight fear, but was mildly thankful that I had worn a normal mortal outfit than an Angel's garment. I didn't want to be exposed to whatever evil held me!

A tall, wood looking Demon looked me up and down, a sinister grin forming on its rocky lips.

The Land Demon reach out to touch me, but I chanted out the spell of Light swiftly. Many Middle Class Demons couldn't stand Heaven's Light as it was either extremely bright, or very painful for their sensitive body, but it doesn't kill them... Can't say the same for Low Class Demons.

The shine blinded and burned the Demon, forcing it to drop me.

I landed on the ground harshly, the fallen sticks and small rocks scraping my bones. I ignored the slight pain and quickly hurried to my feet.

I don't want to be near an angry Land Demon! They're the worst when it comes to anger management!

I raced as fast as I could, the forest trees too thick together even for me to fly through! I was trapped in a Demon's territory! Which is not good! Not good at all!

My breath speed up as I was stopped by a much bigger Land Demon. This one was most likely in charge of the other one.

It sent out a horrid roar into the air, the mortal trees shaking and shivering.

I back up, wincing once I realized that I was trapped on all sides by Land Demons... I couldn't fly away without risking damaging of my wings or them catching me and ripping them off like they were toys!

I whined softly to myself as the Demon that I had blinded growled at me, the trees bending in its anger.

"S-Sorry ab-about b-burning y-you... Y-You s-scared me..." I whispered.

Land Demons have excellent hearing, which still isn't good as they were one of the more powerful Middle Class Demons... That also had terrible anger problems...

They all growled at me as I backed into a tree. I hugged myself, tears filling my eyes as I knew no one was going to save me... Who would save me?

Mortals couldn't see me if I didn't want them to, even then, they'd think I was just play a game as Land Demons can't be seen at all by Mortals! The angels didn't know where I was and other Demons would more likely join in!

The Land Demons growled in a way that made me think they were satisfied... Probably from scaring me and making me cry, the one I blinded bringing a claw towards me.
