Fury watched the man from a branch a few feet in front of him. He could smell her scent on him, her fear and blood. The beasts inside him rose to the surface ready to kill. They wanted to protect the little human. His head tilted to the side as a new scent filled the air. Seconds later a wolf appeared sniffing the ground.

"Do you smell her?" the man asked. "We need to find her before she runs into one of the fuckers."

The wolf let out a low growl taking off in the opposite direction to where Alexi hid. A wave of relief filled him but it only lasted a few seconds. If the wolf didn't smell her it meant that he's not trained to track. Another thought hit him making his body tense. Changelings. A group of the same type that attacked Alexi the first time. Letting out a sneer he dropped down in front of the man.

"What the...?"

"Good question," Fury muttered. "Say bye bye."

He sped forward catching the man off guard. Before he could swipe the knife he found himself lying on the ground struggling to breath. Fury smirked allowing the beasts to rise. His hands turned to claws, dark fur slowly appearing on his skin. The shape of his face changed. His jaw lengthened, teeth growing sharper. He seemed to grow even bigger with the transformation. A low growl left his mouth as he stalked forward.

"I don't like other males touching what's mine," he sneered. Crouching next to the man he reached out gripping his neck. "Call your friends."

Without hesitation the man howled. Seconds later Fury heard the sound of the other men approaching. His hold tightened and with another low growl he snapped his neck. He used his speed to hide behind another tree watching as three men appeared.

"Shit!"

"I told you we should just leave her," a short man with a bald head yelled. He started pacing swiping a hand over his head. "What do we do? What do we do?"

"Shut up and let me think!" a larger man with long blond hair, yelled.

Fury smirked moving to another tree. He made sure to rustle the leaves to make his presence known. The sweet smell of their fear filled the night air. It's like a drug forcing the animal inside to kill. He allowed the animal full control. It raced forward burying its fangs in the throat of one man. Letting the lifeless body drop to the floor he smirked at the men. One moved forward with his knife held up. Fury dodged swiping his hand. Claws dug into skin drawing blood. The man screamed stumbling back. In a blur of movement the other man charged. He managed to stab Fury just above his hip bone. Letting out a howl of pain he stumbled back. The man moved ready to attack again but he dodge him. With the knife still lodged into his side he fought the other man.

Within seconds the man fell to the ground with a gaping hole in his chest. Fury stared down at the organ in his hand with disgust. He hated the feel of it but he had no choice. Of course there were other ways to kill werewolves but ripping out his heart was the fastest. Dropping the heart on the ground he stepped over it making his way back towards Alexi. He changed back to his human for so not to frighten her but he knew that he was covered in blood.

Alexi whimpered as she heard the approaching footsteps. Pressing her back tighter against the tree she tried to make herself smaller. She had a feeling that nothing she did would make her walk out of this alive. Those men that attacked her weren't human, she knew that, but she found it hard to believe. These things only exist in books, they weren't real!

"Alexi," Fury said softly stopping a few feet away.

Her head snapped up wide eyes instantly locking with his glowing ones. She's drawn to them. Pulled in by the strangeness of them. Hesitating only for a second he stepped closer stopping a few feet in front of her. Brown eyes dropped to his hip a gasp falling from her lips.

"You're bleeding!"

His head snapped down. With a grimace he knelt. "It's just a flesh wound," he muttered.

Alexi said nothing. Her small body was shaking from the cold. She's surprised she hasn't turned into a popsicle yet. Her body tensed when he moved forward making him freeze. Fear radiated off her in waves. Letting out a low, irritated growl, he moved forward again. His eyes caught hers.

"I will not hurt you princess," he whispered. Fury slowly reached out stroking her cold cheek with a single finger. "I'm going to help you put on my jacket and then I'm going to pick you up."

"I can walk." He smiled.

"I know you can..." Fury pulled off the leather jacket, "but you're barefoot and bleeding."

"How do you know that?" Alexi asked, surprised. "That I'm bleeding I mean?"

"I can smell it," he instantly regretted it when she gasped. Keeping his eyes locked with hers, he moved the jacket behind her.

She hesitated, but placed her arm through the hole. Her cool skin was instantly assaulted by the warmth. Fury pulled the labels of the jacket together before zipping it up. He knew she's naked beneath it. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't stop his body from responding. She's a beautiful woman. A beautiful frightened and hurt woman, he muttered to himself.

"Ready?"

Alexi shook her head opening her mouth to protest. He moved forward not giving her time to do anything. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pulled her against his chest. Fury stared down at her, a wave of tenderness washing through him. She's been through so much in a span of a few hours, yet she's not hysterical. She's scared, but sane.

"I won't hurt you Alexi," he told her again.

Alexi nodded numbly.

"Wrap your arms around my neck," Fury instructed. He stood pulling her with him. "Wrap your legs around my waist and hold on tight."

She hesitated but followed his instructions. His hand gripped her thigh hoisting her up a little higher. Gripping the end of the jacket he pulled it lower to cover her ass. Her skin was cool to the touch. Hesitating slightly he took a step forward heading in the direction of home. If he used his speed, he will be able to get her home faster.
