ALEXI

The doctor was an old man. He was very talkative as he checked me over. My blood pressure was taken along with my pulse. He also check all my other responses before pulling back the bandages on my stomach. I was surprised to find the deep wounds already scraped over. Now that definitely wasn't normal! When he wanted to pull the sheets lower, I gripped it tightly. Slade growled a low warning making the doctor freeze.

"I apologize Alpha," he muttered, bowing his head. "I just want to check the wound on her leg."

"I'll do it myself," Slade stepped closer, "are you done?"

The doctor nodded collecting all his stuff. Giving me a friendly greeting he walked out the door followed by Slade. As soon as the door closed behind them I threw back the sheets. My hands shook as I pulled the bandage back. Unlike the wounds on my stomach, these were only faint red marks. Like the knife wound on Fury's hip when he got stabbed that night. I traced it. It still hurt but not as bad as my stomach. The doorknob turned. I gripped the sheets pulling them over me but I knew I moved too slow. Fury cleared his throat turning his back to me. I took the time he gave me to cover my body complete. When he turned around a few seconds later the sheets was pulled up to my chest.

I watched him with wide eyes and red cheeks as he walked closer. He took a seat on the edge of the bed beside me. Pale blue eyes trailed over me slowly. Are his eyes really blue? Without realizing it, I leaned forward to get a better look. His pupils was surrounded by a light grey colour. A dark blue ring surrounded the outer edge of his eyes. I blinked. His pupils dilated.

"How are you feeling?"

I sat back feeling my cheeks heating even more. Swallowing, I stared down at my hands on my laps. "I'm fine."

His next action surprised me. Fury placed his hand beneath my chin forcing my eyes up to his. His fingers trailed up stroking my cheek.

"I need to know how you really feel princess," he whispered. "I need to know you're okay."

"I'm fine," I smiled. "Just a little sore but fine."

He nodded. His eyes dropped from my to the movement of his finger. Why aren't I freaking out right now? An hour ago I had a make out session with his twin. I allowed him to touch me and I'm doing the same with Fury. I can't be attracted to both of them, it can't work that way. What would society think? What would people say?

"You really care what people will say?" My eyes snapped up to his.

He gave me a sad smile dropping his hand. I opened my mouth ready to question him but the door opened before I could. Slade stepped into the room tensing when his eyes fell on us. The room filled with tension. I glanced between them biting my lip. I felt like this tension had something to do with the blood. I mean why would someone who barely knows me, give me his blood? I met them mere weeks ago. They knew my grandmother but I doubt she would have talked about me so much. She barely mentioned them!

"How did you know my grandmother?" I questioned.

I felt Fury tense. Slade muttered something under his breath as he glanced at his brother. Running a hand through his messy hair, he walked closer to us. Slade took a seat on the bed on the other side of me.

"We were there when she found you," he said.

"Found me?" I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Slade," Fury muttered. "Can I talk to you?"

Without waiting for a reply he stood walking out of the room. Slade stood giving me a small smile before following him. I waited until the door closed behind them before climbing out of bed. Ripping the tape from my hand, I slowly pulled the needle out. Blood instantly started flowing from my skin. Ignoring it, I grabbed the sheets wrapping it around my body. I walked to the door pressing my ear against it. No sounds came from outside. Sucking in a shaky breath, I turned the knob opening the door. I glanced outside to make sure the coast was clear before stepping out of the room. A wooden floorboard creaked beneath my weight as I stepped further down the hall. The walls were painted creamy white with photo frames hanging almost everywhere. My eye studied them.

Photos of the brothers together and alone. I stopped in front of a medium sized photo. A man smirked at the camera. Indigo blue eyes stared at me. Dark hair was combed back neatly from a handsome face. He was dressed in a pair of slacks and a white button down shirt.

I moved on finding the same man standing next to a beautiful woman.  Another picture showed all four of them smiling at the camera. Moving silently down the hall, I studied all the photos with a small smile. A gasp fell from my lips as my eyes fell on the large picture. I had to lock my knees to keep myself from sliding to the floor. Slade and Fury stood smiling at the camera with their arms wrapped around a girl between them.

"You're leaving a blood trail," Fury said. I jumped, my head snapping to the left.

Fury slowly made his way down the hall towards me. His eyes trailed over my body before catching mine. He frowned. I turned back to the photo. If felt like I'm staring at myself in the mirror. Only difference was that my hair was shorter and I looked younger.

"Lexi?"

"We've met before?" I questioned. Turning my head, I stared up at him.

Fury walked towards me. Stopping next to me, he turned to look at the picture. I watched his face seeing different emotions crossing it.

"I don't want anymore lies Fury. I'm sick and tired of people telling me lies. I want the truth."

"Okay."
