Chapter Nineteen

ALEXI

I turned onto my back, glancing from one brother to another. They stared at each other for a few minutes before Slade groaned. The sound made my stomach tighten as a wave of heat flashed through me. Fury shifted, turning onto his side with his head on his hand. His eyes caught mine briefly before moving to his brother. I followed his gaze watching as Slade turned onto his back.

"Okay," he breathed. "Do you know that some animals choose a mated for life?"

"That's not what she asked," Fury said. His brother sends him a glare.

"Then why don't you explain it to her?"

"You're older."

They glared at each other for a few seconds. Mumbling something under his breath, Slade turned onto his side to face me.

"A mate is someone that's made for only person or in some cases for two or more. It's someone special to balance out the other. Someone that you can't live without. Someone that's only yours to love and to protect. Our other half that we can't live without." Fury said, softy.

I sucked in a breath when he reached out stroking my cheek. Slade placed his hand on my stomach tracing my skin through the shirt.

"A-and the sparks?" I asked. Slade moved closer, his breath fanning my cheek.

I turned my head surprised to find his lips only inches from mine. His eyes trailed over my face before locking with mine.

"It means you're mine. Ours." He closed the distance between us.

My eyes fluttered close as his lips brushed mine. He deepened the kiss, pressing his lips against mine harder. His tongue stroked my bottom lip making a shudder race through me. Parting my lips gently, his tongue slipped into my mouth finding mine. I moaned, turning onto my side to bury my hand in his hair. His hand slid from my stomach to my hip pulling me against him.

The unmistakable bulge pressed against my stomach. A wave of panic washed through me but it disappeared when he pulled back. I opened my eyes, blinking at him. Slade cupped my cheek stroking my bottom lip.

"We'll never push you if you're not ready. Never hurt you , Lexi," he whispered. "Kiss my brother baby."

I turned onto my back surprised to find Fury already leaning over me. He placed his hand on my hip, not wasting a moment to press his lips against mine. I gripped his shoulders, opening my mouth beneath his. His tongue stroked my teeth before finding mine. Another pair of lips started to kiss down my neck.

Sensory overload.

I moaned. One of his fangs scrapped my bottom lip causing a shiver to race down my spine. Fury pulled back, breaking the kiss. I kept my eyes closed and sucked air into my lungs. A hand slowly lifted my shirt up my stomach. Seconds later I felt warm breath against the curve of my stomach. My eyes slowly fluttered open watching Slade as he settled his upper body between my legs. His head dipped, lips lightly brushing against my skin. My breathing started to speed up as pleasure shot through me.

"You smell so good baby," he whispered, his nose trailing along the band of my pants. "So fucking good."

My body felt strange. I could hear my heart beating erratically in my ears. My brain was starting to shut down, all I could think of was their hands and lips tracing my body.

"Breath princess," Fury whispered, his breath fanning my neck.

I whimpered clutching his shoulder with one hand, my other hand clutched the blanket. 

"Oh please," I cried. "Please."

"What do you want baby?" Slade started to kiss up my stomach. His tongue traced a circle around  my navel before dipping briefly inside. "Tell us what you want baby."

Words left my mouth, a load of gibberish. Fury started sucking and nibbling my neck as Slade closed his lips around an aching nibble. I've never felt anything like this. 

"Tell us to stop Lexi," Fury said, against my neck. "Tell us to stop."

"No." I whimpered as they pulled away from me. The mattress dipped on either side of me making my eyes snap open. Both brothers had stood leaving me panting on the mattress. I glanced around only seeing Slade standing a few feet away with his back towards me. Sucking in another shaky breath, I pulled my shirt down. My panties felt extremely damp. Their touch still lingered against my skin making desire turn inside my stomach.

When Slade made no move to turn around, I slowly sat up. Heat spread up my cheeks in embarrassment. Why did they stop? I stood up on shaky legs feeling a little hesitant. I've had a taste of the pleasure they could offer and I wanted more. What would it feel like if we were skin to skin?

"Lexi."

Blinking, I looked up at Slade that had moved to stand in front of me. He reached out taking my hand before leading me down the hall towards my room. Pushing me gently onto the bed, he took a seat by the window. For a few minutes he only watched me.

"C-can I ask you something?" I asked, dropping my eyes to my lap.

"Sure."

I repeated the question a few times on my head before glancing up at him. "In our previous life, had we ever...you know..."

"What?" Slade tilted his head to the side.

"Had we ever had sex?" I rushed out, dropping my eyes from his.

He chuckled. "No, we've never had sex, you were too young. We did fool around when you were old enough."

"We did it then, why not now?" I asked him. "Why did you guys stop now?"

"You need to understand baby," he walked over taking a seat next to me on the bed. "We only just found you again a few weeks ago. You've been attacked twice by changelings and one of those times you were almost raped. On top of that, you found out about everything else. You're emotional baby, you have a lot of shit to deal with and we don't want to push you. We only have so much control when it comes to you."

"Is Fury mad now?"

"No, he's not mad. It's a little harder for him than it is for me. Fury has two beasts he needs to control, his wolf and his vampire. One part craves to mate you and the other craves your blood."

"Mate me?" I frowned up at him.

Slade chuckled again but said nothing. Getting up, he leaned down placing a kiss against my forehead. 

"Get some sleep baby, we can talk more about this tomorrow."
