ALEXI
A few minutes later I found myself back in the bedroom. Thankfully this time I was dressed in a pair of grey sweats and a T-shirt that was too big for me. Slade sat by the window seat while Fury laid on his back on the end of the bed. My eyes trailed slowly over him. His shirt had rode up giving me a glimpse of his deep v. Clearing his throat, Slade snapped my attention to him.
"What exactly do you want to know?" He asked, softly.
I swallowed, looking down at my lap. "Everything. How you knew my grandmother. How you know me. That photo..."
Fury shifted turning to lay on his side. Propping his head on his elbow, he stared at me. My heartbeat escalated as his eyes trailed over me.
"I think we should start from the beginning," Fury said. "About our kind."
"Right." Running a hand down his face, Slade sat back. "You've already seen me shift so you know what I am. I'm a werewolf and my brother is a hybrid."
"Hybrid?"
He nodded making my eyes move to Fury. Our eyes instantly locked.
"I'm as some would say, a half breed. I have werewolf blood mixed with vampire blood."
"You move fast," I winced as soon as the words fell from my lips.
"Yes," Fury chuckled. "I move faster than wolves. I'm also stronger than them."
"You're twins," I muttered. I instantly regretted it. Both of them tensed. I didn't miss the look they gave each other. "I'm sorry."
"You don't have to be sorry," Fury sat up. "A few years back I was kidnapped. Some really sick people used me as an experiment. I was a pure blood like my brother before that. They mixed my blood and turned me onto a hybrid."
Pain flashed through his eyes as he spoke. But when the last words left his mouth, that pain instantly changed into hatred. He hated those who made him like this. In a way I hated them too for what they did. It's easy to tell how much he hates himself for what he was. I felt his pain like it was my own. Leaning forward I gripped his hand. His lips twitched but he didn't smile.
"Do you know anything about before you were adopted?" Slade asked. "How you were adopted?"
"I lived in an orphanage. Grandmother found me there and then my mom and dad adopted me. That's what they told me."
Silence filled the room. I watched as Slade stood walking over to us. He took a seat on the bed next to me. Grabbing hold of my free hand, he squeezed but his eyes didn't meet mine. After a few minutes passed he finally broke the silence.
"Your grandmother found you in the woods near her house. We were with her when she found you. You were still a baby wrapped in a pink blanket."
"You were so small," Fury whispered. "And cold. It was snowing and you only had the thin blanket wrapped around you. We thought you would die but you made it."
"We use to watch you when your grandmother was busy. After a few months she took you to your parents who then adopted you." Slade traced my knuckles with his thumb. "Sometimes you would come to visit her. That's how we got to know you but when you got older those visit's stopped."
"So that's how you know me?" I glanced between them. "That doesn't explain the picture."
Letting out a slow breath, Slade stood dropping my hand. "I'll be right back."
He walked out of the room without a second glance. The door clicked close softly behind him. My eyes moved to Fury. He wasn't looking at me but out the window. He suddenly looked very sad. Throwing off the covers, I carefully crawled closer to him. His head turned towards me but I moved before he could. I wrapped my arms around his neck giving him a hug. He looked like he really needed one. Fury tensed but slowly he relaxed. His arms closed around me pressing my chest against his. A small sigh fell from his lips.
"I need you to promise me something princess," Fury whispered. I nodded telling him to continue.
He pulled back cupping my cheek with a slightly shaky hand. "I need you to promise me that no matter what we tell you next, that you won't run away. Promise me you won't leave us."
He swallowed as his voice cracked. I stared at him with a small frown as his words repeated in mind. Surely whatever they're about to tell me can't be that bad? Fury pleaded silently with his eyes. I could see the pain in them clearly and it just confused me even more.
"Fury-"
"I need you to promise me this Lexi," he begged, "I can't bare to lose you again. You can be angry or sad, anything, but you can't leave us."
Before I could speak, he leaned forward closing the distance between us. His lips smashed onto mine without any warning. Unlike Slade's lips, his demanded mine to kiss him back. His lips parted mine pulling a moan from deep within my throat. Slowly his tongue stroked mine as he lowered me to the bed. His body settled over me. My hands gripped his shoulders tightly. Breaking the kiss, he trailed kisses down my neck. I turned my head giving him more access to continue. He growled making his chest vibrate against mine. Heat waves washed through my body. I felt the same thing now like I felt earlier with Slade. Only this time there weren't any lightening bolts. His lips caught mine again as he settled his hips between my legs.
A gasp fell from my lips when I felt his dick press against the apex of my thighs. My body tensed as another image flashed through my brain. I pushed against his chest turning my head away. Another growl left his lips as he buried his face against my neck.
"I'm sorry," Fury muttered. He lifted himself from my body laying down next to me.
I opened my eyes staring at him. Apology and concern was clear in his eyes. Giving him a small smile, I reached out placing my hand against his cheek. My eyes started to droop. I moved closer to him.
"I promise," I whispered, before falling asleep.
