Vidhi Patel has spent a large part of her childhood immersed in the world of politics. Now, after graduating from medical school and becoming a pediatrician, she has to make life-changing decisions. Get married and go down the pat...
"Hey, Kim!" I greeted her as I sat down at the table. She smiled at her phone before looking up at me, returning my greeting,
"Good afternoon, Terrence. I'm glad you were available."
"Why wouldn't I be available?" I inquired, cocking my head to the side. Kim raised her eyebrows at me, giving me the "I-know-you-are-lying-to-me" teacher glare. Rolling my eyes I began to explain myself just as my phone screen lit up, signaling a message.
Cracking a smile after reading it, I quickly responded, wondering what she was up to. Not even a minute later, she responded. After going back and forth a few times, she signed off, leaving me to look up at a smirking Kim.

"What!?" I asked, throwing up my hands.
"Nothing...lover girl got you on edge. Does someone have a crush?" Kim replied, a smirk displayed on her face. I started to open my mouth, about to deny it, but she stopped me with a hand,
"Oh please, save the defensive statements. I remember your lovesick looks every day of high school. That same look is plastered on your face. Has been since she came back to town." She leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms, knowing she was so right.
Rolling my eyes, I left for the bathroom in an attempt to avoid further probing.

"Thank you, Dr. Patel." Said his mother, before leaving with him in her arms as I walked out to reception behind her.
Checking the clipboard and seeing an hour-long gap before my next appointment, I decided to take my lunch break. Picking up my cell, I saw a call from Helena. After listening to the message, I let her know I was free.
