Friday, December 31, 2038 - Saturday, January 1, 2039 Vidhi's POV:
"Alright, so all the caterers and servers are ready, the live band is warming up, and all the seating cards are alphabet-"
"And you are not done up! If anything happens, the rest of us are here to take care of it. Go get ready, Vi." Sabrina urged me, steering me in the direction of the stairwell and my prep room. At the top of the stairs stood the rest of the crew-Helena, Priti, and Anjali-set on making me gala-ready.

Sabrina's POV:
"We are still doing her hair, so have one of the directors start the event. She'll be down soon. Has he arrived?" Helena whispered through the phone.
"Alright, on that now. Not in the ballroom, but I can see his head in the check-in line. I put him in the optimal position for the entrance, so make sure she comes down the west staircase. Oh, he's in. I'm going, update me later." I mumbled out hurriedly walking towards the inconspicuous nook beside Terrence's table.
Waiting until he was near enough to the table, I revealed myself and greeted him,
"Good evening Terrence. You look dashing." He looked up in surprise and blushed lightly at the compliment.
"You too, Sabrina." with a little hesitation, he asked, "Is Vidhi here tonight?" Smirking slightly at his question, I nodded,
"Yes, she should be down shortly. She's actually the hostess for tonight. Take a seat, we will be kicking off shortly." Nodding, he sat down and turned his attention to the secondary purpose of tonight, high-end networking.

Vidhi's POV:
Taking a deep breath, I walked around the corner of the hallway to come to the top of the stairs leading into the ballroom. Discreetly lifting my dress a few inches, I made my way down the red-carpeted stairs, cool air caressing my arms. At the foot of the stairs stood Anjali and Priti, dressed to the tens in their gala wear.
"Is there anything that needs to be taken care of?" I inquired quietly, subconsciously noting the hush fall across the room.
