Terrence's POV:
"We need an initial campaign website, so are you going to get someone to design it or do you want me to do it?" I asked, going down the preliminary set up checklist.
"What if you and Sabrina work on it together?" She suggested. Nodding in agreement, I made a note next to the bullet point and made a mental note to call Sabrina and figure out when we could meet.
"Oh that reminds me, did we get the second batch of paperwork approved with the filings?" She asked, pouring the chutney into the container beside the baked samosas.
My stomach grumbled as the spices wafted towards me.
"Wow, someone is hungry!"
"My stomach is always hungry for your cooking." Rolling her eyes at my line, she passed me the plate and chuckled,
"Sly lines won't get you out of dishes mister." As she finishes her sentence, the doorbell rings and I'm on edge.
Looking at me quizzically, she asked me to grab the door considering she was elbow deep in cookie dough.
Opening the door, I was met with yet another random, male stranger at Vidhi's doorstep in two days. This one had shown up in what looked like a damn expensive navy three-piece suit. Sighing, I inquired,
"And who might you be?"
Pulling off his sunglasses, he responded with a pointed glare and a simple statement,
"I'm here for Ms. Vidhi. If you could direct me to her apartment that would be much appreciated." Well, at least he had more manners than the last one.
"Well, fortunately, this is her apartment. Your name?"
"Vihaan Vora, I'll be waiting in the car when she's ready." With that, he walked back to the car that was obviously his, the purple Lamborghini with custom detailing. Shutting the door, I debated not even telling her about this one, but I knew my conscience wouldn't allow it, so stalking back to the kitchen, I announced the unfortunate news, for both my stomach and my heart.
"You've got another date waiting outside. Purple Lamborghini and a three-piece suit. Has more manners than the other one though."
Groaning, she wiped her flour-covered hands on her apron and sighed,
"Guess that means I have to dress up too. Ugh."
Vidhi's POV:
Walking down the stairs, I hoped I hadn't dressed up too much, but after Monday, I wasn't taking a chance. Hearing Terrence singing in the kitchen, I walked on in to find him finishing up the cookies that we still had left.
"Well, guess I'm heading out again. Did you background check him?" I teased, not thinking he would actually be nodding yes to that.
"He's not as visible on social media as the other one, but that's because he's some C-List actor, so his profile is managed by his PR team. Have fun, be safe, and call me if you need anything." He said, pressing a soft kiss to my hair.
"I will, thank you," I responded before walking out to be met with a glaringly bright purple Lamborghini, detailed with swirls of yellow and orange.
My eyes widened, trying to estimate how much this thing must have cost him, but not before the man in question stepped out, shined shoes and all.
"Hello, you must be Vidhi. I'm Vihaan, but I'm sure your assistant told you that already. Come, let's go." Clicking a button on the key, the doors swung upward and I took a step back, unsure of how to enter such an abnormal car. His comment about Terrence rubbed me the wrong way, and I immediately spoke up,
"He isn't my assistant. He's my neighbor."
