Jimin's POV

"The doctor that came yesterday said his name is Min Yoongi. Do you think he'll let me call him 'Hyung'?" I asked Jin who was the eldest of the group. Me, Jin, and Namjoon sat on the sofa while Jungkook and Taehyung sat on the floor playing cards.

"Probably not. You just met him and he seems kind of scary. He said he likes the color black," Jin replied.

"But for a good reason. He said black is strong."

"And scary," Taehyung chimed in, not looking up from his cards. "Do you have a...seven?" He asked Jungkook.

"Damn it," he muttered under his breath as he gave up his card and handed it to a victorious Taehyung.

"Well, for someone who likes the color black, he's really nice," I added, not knowing why I'm defending him. Probably because he said I could eat my sandwich however I wanted it. Tomatoes or no tomatoes.

"I think I'm getting discharged soon," Jungkook announced.

"Already?" Namjoon asked.

"Well, yeah, I'm that good of a patient. I heard my doctor discussing it to himself. You know how my doctor likes to think out loud." Everyone nodded, and the sound of cards clattering onto each other made us turn heads to Taehyung who was frozen in place, his jaw slightly dropped. His look of disbelief was also mixed with sorrow.

"Jungkook-ah...Y-you're leaving me?" Taehyung's lower lip started to quiver.

"I'm not quite sure yet, Taehyung," Jungkook replied carefully as if Taehyung was made out of glass. He basically was.

"You can't. No, you can't!"

"Oh, shit I forgot," Jungkook said to himself quietly.

Taehyung has Dependent Personality Disorder, which means that he gets attached to people who he realizes are constantly there for him and care for him. He learns that he can't live without them; he depends on them. He fears being abandoned by the person he decided he never wants to let go. Jungkook was his person.

"Let's go talk some place alone, yeah?" Jungkook suggested to Taehyung who looked like he was going to have a meltdown. He's had them in the past when his disorder was much worse. When he met Jungkook, he couldn't bear to let him out of sight. I remember hearing his sobs from across the hall when it was time for us to go to bed. He wanted to be with Jungkook, and Jungkook knew that. He knew that being with Taehyung would keep him happy; that it would help him get better. So he did his best to be around Taehyung as much as he could, and that's when Taehyung learned to trust him. To trust that when Jungkook was going to the bathroom, it didn't mean he was never coming back. Jungkook always came back to him. He was clingy; that's how people with DPD are.

Jungkook, on the other hand, has PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from when he was accidentally admitted to this hospital. He protested and resisted so much, saying that he didn't have a mental problem, and of course, the doctors saw this as a symptom of Anosognosia and diagnosed him as that. He was so scared that he actually went mute for a while. He couldn't speak, so he obviously couldn't be able to explain anything if he were get on the phone with his family. But when he finally broke silence, there was a lawsuit for wrongful admission to the mental hospital which lead him to have PTSD from the amount of fear that became instilled in him. Whenever he was approached by a doctor, he would immediately run away. He was like a rabbit. So when Jungkook found someone that he didn't have to run from, Taehyung, he began to stay around him especially when finding out about his DPD.

Their friendship is beneficial to each other. It helps both of them cope with their mental illness, and now both of them have shown signs of improvement.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and my friends got up to leave.

"B-bye," I said to them quietly as I watched them go.

"Good morning, Jimin. Ready for our first session?" Dr. Min asked, standing in front of me, a forced smile on his face. I gave a smile back, but it was more like I was just pressing my lips together in a line, my cheeks puffing out. He sat on the sofa next to me, but kept a respectful amount of distance. "How are you feeling, today?"

"I'm a bit w-worried."

Yoongi's POV

"You're worried? Tell me why." To help a patient who's feeling any kind of emotion, you have to ask why. To know the cause helps me understand what I can do to stop it from happening if the feeling is negative, or how to keep the cause consistent if the feeling is positive.

"My friend Jungkook is leaving and his friend Taehyung is sad. I'm worried for them."

"Why is Jungkook leaving?"

"Because he got better."

"From what?"

"PTSD."

"Is that so? And Taehyung is sad because Jungkook is going to leave him to be all by himself," I said to confirm what he previously mentioned. He nodded his head.

"But it's not that simple. Taehyung has DPD. It's hard for him to let go of people he loves."

"Do all of your friends have mental issues?"

"Yup."

Why do they all have mental illnesses? If Jimin isn't aware that he has a mental illness himself, how is it that his delusion is so bizarre to create friends that are mentally unwell? I furrowed my brows as I tried to think of an answer. I crossed my legs and tapped my pen on my chin, a habit of mine whenever I had to think deeply.

Wait. Hoseok.

Hoseok came into his delusion when he met Jimin. Could it be that Jimin's friends are actually real and that they used to be patients here? That they made Jimin happy and when they left his mind made him imagine they're still here? He mentioned he hasn't seen Hoseok in a while so that must mean that someone who enters his life for a brief moment does get into his delusions, but disappear because they haven't stayed long enough in reality for him to get too attached. This means that his mind barely, but still, allows him to recognize his delusions from reality. They sort of mix but still play out. Because if my theory is correct, he mentioned Jungkook is leaving which proves that his delusions do play out like it did in reality. It's like he's slowly letting reality sink in without it being too sudden. In his delusions, it probably finds a way to let Jimin face reality, but so that it won't hurt him as much. I'm just going to have to wait until Jungkook leaves his delusion so he can tell me how he left.

Psychotherapy might work for him.
