Sungjae's POV
-flashback 6 years ago-

I was in the cafeteria with my friend, discussing patients as we always did. I loved hearing about his patients and imagining what they look like in my head. We talked about their diagnosis, treatment, and stories about them. As he talked on and on about his former patient who suffered from schizophrenia, all noise and sound became muffled when I landed my eyes on a young boy. He sat alone, yet his mouth was moving. I focused on his lips that looked as if they were stung by a bee. How they were rosy and smooth. I wanted to touch them.

"Sungjae?" I fluttered my eye lids and brought my attention back to Jibeum. "Were you even listening?"

I nodded my head while taking glances at the boy I just discovered. With a questioning expression at my glances, Jibeum turned in his seat to see what I kept looking at. The boy stared back at Jibeum before turning away to keep talking to himself.

"Why do you keep looking at him?" He grew interested and confused.

"No reason."

"Obviously there is. Is he your patient?"

"No..." He's just a new boy that I've found an interest in to entertain me. But I can't say that out loud can I?

Curious and unsure of my response, he got up to excuse himself.

"I'm gonna go. See you tomorrow."

"Bye." I watched him leave the cafeteria, and I was left alone with my sandwich.

I got to watch the boy without anyone bothering me.
