Chapter 27

Paige POV:

As I open my eyes I see a blanket spread out on the floor along with sandwiches and pillows. The beds were moved so more space was on the floor. Nash set up a picnic for me!

"You did all this for me?" I said looking over at him. He smiled and looked down shyly.

"Yeah... I mean because you can't really walk, and I didn't want you to have to like stumble everywh-"

"I love it!" I said going on my tip toes to kiss his cheek. Well one tip toe because of my stupid ankle. He was so tall compared to me. I had to strain my neck to look at him.

I could hear Matt and Marissa still laughing in the background.

"So we down for some HORROR!" Matt said jumping down onto the floor pulling Marissa down with him.

"Umm well." Nash said seeming a little scared.

"Yes! I love scary!!" I joined in.

"Hell to the no. Scary is not a thing for me. No no nope." Marissa said. She was such a scardy cat.

"Aww do you want me to hold your hand on the scary parts!" Matt said giving Marissa the puppy dog face.

"How about The Conjuring??" I chimed in. "I wanna see it so bad!"

"YES let's do it!" Matt said while logging into his netflix account.

"Catpaws81 really Matt. That's your password?" Marissa said laughing at him.

"Aye. Don't hate. Appreciate."

We all settled down on the blanket. Marissa and Matt were sitting with Matts arm around her. Then there was Nash and I were sitting next to each other.

Right as the movie started Marissa jumped.

"Chill it hasn't started yet." I said laughing.

It was about 10 minutes maybe into the movie and Nash seemed to be getting scared. Something jumped out so I quickly grabbed his hand. I wasn't really scared but I could tell he was getting creeped. Marissa most likely had to change her pants because she probably peed so much. She cannot do scary. At least Matt was there to protect her I guess.

Marissa POV:

Okay this movie is literally scary as shit. I was practically sitting with my head nuzzled into Matts shoulder because I couldn't watch this. I was literally about to pee myself when my phone buzzed. Matt and I both looked down and I saw another dm from @123rachael. I sighed.

"What is it?" Matt said mentioning the dm.

"Oh yeah I think we should talk." I said. Matt looked worried. "No don't worry it's nothing like that."

"Guys we will be right back." I said standing up and grabbing Matts hand.

"Oh I see!" Nash says winking at me.

"No not like that. Seriously." I gave both of them a stare saying that I was being serious.

Matt and I left Nash and Cameron's room and went into him and Carter's room. Carter wasn't there because he was chilling with the guys down by the beach.

"So, Marissa, what's going on." He said walking over to his bed and sitting down. I sat down next to him and began to explain.

"It'll just be easier if I show you." I handed him my phone with the dms open from @123rachael. "This is Rachael incase you couldn't figure that out."

The expression on Matts face changed completely. The color flushed from his face and I could tell he was getting pissed.

"Matt, I will be okay seriously. But I just want to know what happened with her. Like why does she feel the need to ruin my life just because I am with you."

"No, Marissa. Seriously. She is a bitch and I am so mad that she felt the need to dm you."

"Matt seriously it is okay."

"No it's not! I was supposed to protect you and now she is going to do something unexplainable and I can't help!" He was yelling now. But not at me. Just in general. "I can't do this. I told this bitch to leave me alone and now she went toward someone that I care about and that's not okay."

"She hasn't done anything yet."

"That's the point! How could you be so stupid and not realize what is going to happen!" Now he was yelling at me.

"Well my bad for not even knowing this girl!" I yelled back. Why was he getting so defensive with me?

"Marissa. Just. Ugh. I need some air. Don't bother calling me. I'll be back later maybe. Just go back into the room and chill with Nash and Paige. Bye." With that he stormed out. I was just left in his cold room alone and helpless.

a/n sooo some drama for you!!! so this was a long chapter for you guys! I think not really sure because I am on my phone. But I won't be here for 9 days so don't hate me for not updating!!! I am going on my cruise today! yay! but I apologize for leaving you guys on this note😁
