Chapter 12

Marissa POV:

I walk back into the room and Paige is sitting on the bed on her phone. I go and flop back onto my bed. I am so tired I could just fall asleep right now.

"So who was at the door?" Paige asks not looking away from her phone.

"Oh it was room service but they had the wrong room."

"Gotchu."

I go check my phone and I see Nash tweeted. Yes I still do have their tweets coming to my phone because why not.

"@Nashgrier: I'm the biggest creep lol"

Was that about what just happened? I decided I'm going to tweet him back.

"@thatsohespinosa: . @Nashgrier nahh it's just dedication 😋"

"I'm going to go take a shower." I say as I grab my cloths and head over to the bathroom.

Paige POV:

"I'm going to go take a shower." Marissa says.

"Okay have fun!" I say but she doesn't hear me because she is already in the bathroom.

I opened my laptop to do some shopping until I heard my phone go off. Matt?

(M- Matt P- Paige)

M- Hey can you talk

P- yeah sure what's up?

M- well it's about Marissa

P- go on

M- She's different in the best way possible. None of the hundreds of girls I've met have ever caught my attention like her. Not even because of her perfect smile but something about her eager yet humble personality is getting me hooked. I just don't know how to approach her. I've only had one girlfriend in the past and it didn't work out. I want to do this right... If I can at all.

P- Yeah i see. well let me tell you this. whenever a guy gets closer to her, Marissa kinda freaks out and pushes them away. it's not her fault she just doesn't know how to handle that sort of attention. It has been happening for years now

M- I figured. I was confused as to how she has never had anything with a guy

P- yeah. so if she acts like distant and seems like she doesn't care, she really does but she just doesn't know how to show affection.

M- i see. so what should I do?

P- well I would say to stick around because ik for a fact she likes you. She may seem standoff-ish but that's just how she is when she senses a guy having some feelings toward her but once she gets comfortable around you believe me she is the funniest and sweetest person ever

M- yeah:) I can see that in her.

P- yeah well I got to go marissa just got out of the shower and she gets nosey. byeee I'll see you guys tomorrow xx

Marissa POV:

I was about to fall asleep when I felt my phone vibrate. I look at it to see a text from Hayes.

(M- Marissa H- Hayes)

H- Hey girl! so what time are you gonna be up? we are going to breakfast around like 9:30 maybe. You up for it?

M- I don't know if I wanna hang out with you guys again. it was kinda boringggg tbh ;)

H- Oh shut your face. meet us down there at 9:30 ok ! Matt will be waiting ;p
