It's not romance,
Just a beautiful trance.
Unbidden to speak,
When our eyes meet.
Every moment,
Every word.
Unspoken,
To the world.
I lock away the memories,
And cherish them to hold.
Like a captain's remedy,
A chest full of gold.
Priceless sparks,
When I see your heart.
I glimpse who you are,
And forget my parts.
This connection,
Unexpected.
Without direction,
Unaffected.
I freestyle my feelings,
But they pull towards you.
My heart is reeling,
From what you do.
If you pick it up,
And put it back together,
Hold it close to you,
No matter the weather.
There are things I have known,
That made me skeptical at least.
But the understanding you've shown,
Has given me peace.
I smile when we meet,
And you light up like a lantern.
Your heart then starts to beat,
From all the passion that we've learned.
I can feel you on my mind,
Even when I am asleep.
What we have is hard to find,
I'd like to have you for keeps.
Who we are inside,
Is our greatest strength.
I don't want to hide,
Or go to any lengths.
But the world won't let it go,
The social stigma they've created.
To them, it doesn't show.
It seems that what we have is hated.
I would not drop you,
Even if I wasn't there.
Please Trust that I am true,
And that I will always care...
