A poem about wanting to see her true self...

Catching cartography,

Stepping toward monogamy.

I am faithful to my last,

A thrumming within me.

I couldn't hurt you,

Even if I tried.

My face turns blue,

When you say that I lied.

I'm at your door,

Beating and pounding.

I'm walking your shore,

All the deciet surrounding.

Let me inside,

To take a peek at you.

Please don't hide,

You know my heart is true.

I'll row up this river,

As long as I have to.

Can't take, I'm a giver,

Giving me to you.

But the doubt in my mind,

Is reflected in yours.

It's hard to define,

When that emotion pours.

My core is a tour in war,

And my heart is bidden to roar.

Pick me off this floor of sores,

And please, oh please,

Open the door...
