Blustering blasting,
Yelling and fasting.
Cold light basking,
No need for asking,
My heart's everlasting.
Chastised and charred,
Capsized on bars,
Emotional scars,
Form my lucky stars.
I'm healed and lascerated,
Heart's been eviscerated,
Trying not to be hated,
Is too much to be satiated.
I'm holding my essence,
In the palm of my hand.
Hoping for lessons,
For my life to be grand.
Heralded hesitation,
Motionless machinations,
Holding back my presentation,
Praying for assassination,
To bring me to my stated station.
High above the clouds and sky,
Lulling into a lullaby,
Trying not to see me cry,
In the middle of a blood soaked eye,
I thrash and scream and try and try,
But life just keeps on passing by...
I guess I'm just another guy.
Nothing special,
This heart is true.
I'm trying to wrestle,
With what to do.
If I hold myself on high,
I see all around me die.
But if I become too lost in life,
I won't live up to all your hype.
I'm just not good enough,
To see what I would see.
Realizing it is rough,
But I know what I would rather be.
I'll be me for you,
The me that's true.
Sometimes blue,
And lonely too.
But I am brand new,
And someone who,
Knows what he grew,
And I have a clue,
I've grown in you too.
I hope it's true...
