Chapter 29: The Rescue

"WHAT!" Both Natsu and Lucy yelled as they quickly stood up from their positions. Natsu looked over at Lucy with curious eyes, wondering why Lucy of all people would be so shocked at the news of his sister's kidnapping. Lucy turned to him in his small silence and raised her eyebrow at him.

"Long story," Lucy said, Natsu left it at that, knowing that he would get his answers later.

"Macao said that the men had these descriptions," Gray said as he handed Natsu a piece of paper that held the description of the men that kidnapped Wendy. Natsu quickly looked over the paper before handing it to Lucy. She then quickly scanned the paper and as soon as she was finished reading, her eyes grew wide and then a smirk started to form on her face.

"Do you know something?" Natsu questioned the blonde as he had noticed the change in her expression.

"There's nothing you need to worry about. I know these clowns and they are complete idiots. You and I could take care of this alone," Lucy stated as she walked over to Gray and grabbed his wrist. Just as she was a foot's distance from the door, Natsu stopped her by putting his hand on her shoulder, he squeezed a little, he was feeling a bit upset that she had not chosen him to come with her. But, he knew that she probably had her reasons, still, he felt the need to come with her.

"I'll go with you," Natsu states as he pulled Gray away from Lucy's hand and tossed him behind them. Lucy looked at his serious expression and laughed to herself, knowing that although he may appear to be a mean and green guy, he was actually a childish person.

"Ok, let's go," Lucy stated as she tightened her grip on Natsu's hand and pulled him all the way to the front of the school, where she parked the "borrowed" bike. As soon as Natsu saw the state of his bike, his mouth dropped in shock. What used to be an imitating, fiery, cool bike turned into a shining, bubbly bike. The fire that was decorated on the bike was gone, replaced with bubbles and stars, a weird combination that actually worked.

"W-What the hell did you do with my Fire Breather!" Natsu exclaimed in shock as he put his hands on his head, trying to wrap this new information of his bike around his head.

"Fire Breather?" Lucy questions, "this my pink-headed partner is the new Bubbles," Lucy said as she tapped her hand on the seat.

"Bubbles?" Natsu questioned with anger, "What right do you have to change my property. Do you even know how much that bike cost?! Where the fuck did you get the money to redo everything that I paid for?! What the hell am I supposed to do with YOUR bike?! The one that you left me with?! I supposed I should just trash it now shouldn't I? I cannot believe that you have the guts to mess with my bike?! Are you serious Lucy! You owe me!" Natsu yelled as he was very angry at the state of his motorcycle, which could now be considered Lucy's bike as she had no intention of turning in back into its original state.

While Natsu yelled at her some more, Lucy hopped on the bike, placed her elbow on the front of the motorcycle and plopped her head into her head. She then yawned loudly without covering her mouth, sending a silent message to Natsu. Basically telling him that she did not care at all and all the yelling that he was doing was just a waste of breath because she considered the bike hers now.

"Ya know," Lucy said as she started to put her hair into a high ponytail, "It's not my sister that  we're gonna save." Natsu gave up his argument and sat behind Lucy.

"This isn't over ya know," Natsu said as he fixed himself comfortably behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "Now drive," he commanded.

Lucy turned around and cocked her eyebrow at him. Surprised that he would dare order her to do something with that commanding tone. "Well excuse me Mr. Full Of Himself, you are now on my property, therefore you are to follow my rules. So don't you take that tone with me mister," Lucy stated as she waved her finger around and then she eventually flicked her finger to his forehead.
