Chapter 36: The Date...Finally?

"Sakura Restaurant please," Lucy told the uber driver as she opened the backseat door.

"Sure thing miss," The drivers said without looking into the mirror, as soon as he heard the car door shut, he drove up. A few minutes passed by, and the driver casually looked into his mirror to see who he was driving, to his surprise, it was a beautiful blonde in a gorgeous red dress. She had her hair all pinned up so one could definitely see her rather cute cheeks and all the details that made her beautiful. A wave of embarrassment came over the driver, as he was now noticing how beautiful his passenger really is.

'I wonder if he'll share his fries,' Lucy thought to herself as she looked out of the window, seeing numerous buildings and people zooming by in the blink of an eye.

The driver looked though the mirror to gaze upon the blonde woman in the back seat. He was having a dangerous wager on whether he would be lucky enough to not crash.

'That Woman is so gorgeous. I wonder if she has a partner?' The driver thought to himself as he started to smile to himself and daydream about what his and Lucy's life would be if they were married.

"Oh driver honey, I am so in love with you. Take me away in your beautiful car and I will forever be with you," Lucy said as she ran into the driver's arms and hugged him as tightly as she could.

"Oh darling," The driver dramatically said as she pushed Lucy away and braced his hand against his head, "I love you so much. But I am afraid that the service is my life. I fear that we should not be together."

"But I love you so much noooo," Lucy cried as she jumped onto him and refused to let go.

"I am afraid that we cannot be together. The pay of the service is too much," The driver said as he forced Lucy off of him, "I bid you farewell my sweet angel." He then ran off into the sunset and slowly disappeared into the distance.

"Whyyyyyyy!!" Lucy screamed as she got on her knees and cried.

"I was right. It was never going to work out," The driver quickly said to himself as he slightly cried at his own short-term happiness being destroyed.

"Excuse me, did you say something?" Lucy asked, as she had heard the driver quietly mumbling, she thought that he might have been asking her a question but she didn't quite catch it.

"Oh no, n-nothing miss?" The driver said stumbling on his words.

'Yeah...never gonna happen,' The driver thought to himself, all of a sudden, he came to an absolute stop, causing Lucy to fall forward and hit her face against the back of the front seat.

"What the hell man?" Lucy said as she rubbed her cheek, "you're definitely not getting five stars for this trip." She mumbled to herself.

"Oh I'm sorry miss. It seems that we have arrived at your destination. I will get the door for you," The driver said as he quickly hopped out of the car and ran over to Lucy's side. He opened the door for her and guided his hand towards the restaurant.

"Thank you," Lucy said with a fake smile plastered across her face.

'Alright three stars,' Lucy thought to herself as she watched the driver wave his hand goodbye as he drove further down the street.

Lucy smiled to herself as she stood in front of the restaurant. Yet, her smile didn't seem real. She wasn't just kind of happy, she was more than nervous. Lucy stood in front of the restaurant for a solid two minutes, until she saw a flash of pink on the other side of the restaurant door.

"On second thought, forget this," Lucy said as she quickly took off her shoes and raised her hand to flag down a cab that could take her home, hoping that one would come before she was caught running away.

"I see you chickened out," Natsu said as he smirked behind her.

"Eh?" Lucy said out loud as her head slowly turned around to face Natsu, realizing that she was caught running away red-handed, she thought of the first excuse that came to her, "I was airing out my shoes."

Natsu let out a small snicker, one that eventually turned into an all-out loud laughter, "Are you serious? That's the best you could come up with?" As soon as Natsu was just about to finish laughing at the blonde, a ring came from his pocket.

"Hello?" The salmon-headed man answered.

"Huh?"

"Okay"

"Don't do anything. I'm on my way."

Natsu ended the call and placed the cellphone back into his pocket, "Look like it's your lucky day Lucy. You're coming with me." He then grabbed her arm and tried to bring her back to his driver.

"Well excuse me," Lucy cried out as she snatched her arm away from Natsu's grasp, "Who the fuck do you think you are to grab me like this?"

"Well it looks like I have someone that you would be oh-so-happy to meet. Come with me and you'll find out," Natsu said as he showed off his handsome smirk and reached out to Lucy for her to take his hand. Lucy simply slapped it away, which shocked him.

"I'm driving," Lucy said as she opened the driver's seat and stood there waiting for the green-headed driver to get out.

"Sure, but where are we going?" Natsu asked sarcastically as he folded his arms together and leaned on the side of the car.

"Fine," Lucy said harshly as she slammed the door, almost catching the driver's hand in the fuss. She then pushed Natsu to the side and hopped in the car by herself.

'If only the Boss wasn't here,' Freed thought to himself as places his hand on the other, imagining what it would be like if he didn't move his hand in time.

"If only looks could reflect on actions," Natsu muttered to himself as he went into the car and slammed the door shut, "you know where to go."

"Yes Boss," said Freed as he quickly looked into the mirror to see that the blonde wasn't wearing a seatbelt, and he knew that Natsu could handle his crap. Freed sped off at a rather high speed, with the meter nearly reaching triple numbers. He looked quickly looked back at his mirror to see that the blonde wasn't phased at all at the sudden increase in speed, it seemed that she enjoyed it more than fearing it.

"Just Who the hell are you?" Freed muttered to himself as he glanced back at the road, slowing down as he saw two cop cars in the distance.
