Chapter 34: Layla Heartfilia
Levy took a deep breath it and let all the air out of her lungs to maintain her normal rate of heartbeat. Which would somewhat be a hard task as she was standing outside of a door that separated her and one of the most powerful woman in the business world: Layla Heartfilia. Levy has to report everything she knows about Lucy, her location, her intentions, and most importantly, the people she were involved with.
Levy places her trembling hand on the golden, polished doorknob, hesitating to open. She was more than afraid to face a woman like that. The only information she had was based on the casual conversations that she and Lucy had when the blonde would talk to her about what's going on between her and the son of Igneel.
"Having trouble Ms. McGarden? Just press down on the knob. It just needs extra pressure," a pink-headed maid said as she reached over and placed her hand on the knob, immediately Levy's hand flew onto of the maid's hand. The maid slowly pulled back her hand in confusion, but then she soon realized the reason for Levy's odd behavior, "don't worry Ms. McGarden, she's only scary when someone threats or harms her family. I'll be on my way now. Ta-ta." The maid said with an emotional expression, but Levy could tell that she meant well.
"Thanks Virgo," Levy said as she smiled at the maid. Virgo quickly bowed her head in appreciation and continued to walk down the lonely halls of the Heartfilia mansion, heading back to her daily duties.
'Ok..here we go,' Levy thought as she breathe in another gasp of air and opened the door. As soon as she stepped inside, the scent of lilies and strawberries came rushing into her nostrils. Almost immediately making her choke, as she was not used to this scent or the strength of it. Levy rubbed her nose in attempt to block out some of the smell, but flinched as she heard her name echoed throughout the spacious room.
"Levy McGarden," A woman said catching Levy's attention. The blue-headed girl raised her head and squinted her eyes to make out the person calling out to her. It was Layla Heartfilia. She was standing behind her shiny, polished, dark oak desk, staring out of the window. Her skin hair and skin glowed as one of a goddess as the sun rays hit her. Her chocolate brown eyes looking down towards her garden, reflecting on a simpler time. The woman snapped out of her trance as she had to discuss business with the girl who had just entered her room.
Layla turned around and smiled as she saw Levy standing in front of her opened office door, eyes squinting at her as if she was struggling to handle the gift of sight, "Close the door my dear and have a seat. I will close the blinds," Layla states as she quickly tapped her hand twice. Suddenly a tall man with pale-white skin and pitch black glasses appeared from one of the dark corners of the room and stood in front of the woman, "close the shades dear." The man bowed his head and then proceeds to close the shades.
"Oh Ms. Heartfilia it's find. You don't have to go through the trouble of doing all of that for me." Levy nervously said as she sat down on a black leather chair that sat opposite of Layla's desk.
"Oh nonsense now child, don't you worry about that," Layla said as the man pulled out her seat for her to sit down, "thank you Capricorn. You may leave now." Capricorn bowed his head in respect and made his leave.
"I have new information," Levy said as she smiled a bit.
"Oh really? And what might that be dear?" Layla asked as she put her elbows on her desk and leaned forward in anticipation for the new news.
"It seems that Lucy and Natsu are getting together really well. A relationship may spark in the future," Levy said as Layla's eyebrows slightly grew tight.
"Natsu as in the son of Igneel? Igneel Dragneel?" Layla questioned the blue-headed girl.
"I believe so. And there is another man that may be interested in her. I did some heavy and time-consuming research and I have come to the solution that his name is Sting Eiffel. He is.." Levy said but she slowly stopped talking as she saw that Layla raised her hand, indicating that she should stop talking.
"I know who that man is. He has a rather influential stand in my type of work," Layla said as a smirk grew on her face, but it soon faded away as Layla asked another question, "how much is she involved with the Dragneel boy?"
"Well Ms. Heartfilia. I believe that they might have gone as far as having sex but I'm not quite sure," Levy said as she awkwardly scratch the back of her head. She suddenly jumped as Layla banged her hand on the desk, the sound echoing throughout the entire room, "Is something the matter Miss Heartfilia?"
"You make sure that Lucy does not spend anymore time with that damn Dragneel boy. If I find out that she and that red-headed idiot's son is to start a relationship I will have you and your mother's head. Do you understand me?" Layla commanded more than asking.
"Yes. I will try my best," Levy said as she tried to assure Layla that she would absolutely try her best, "may I ask why Natsu and Lucy are not suited for each other?"
"I do not what that bastard to have the satisfaction of proving me wrong and getting his way," Layla said as she stood up from her seat and walked over to stand in front of Levy, "If Jude Heartfilia is supposed to come across your path. You know the code." Layla handed Levy and envelope and walked back over to her seat and sat down.
"Thank you Miss Heartfilia. I shall take my leave now," Levy said as she quickly bowed and turned away.
"I hope you are settling well in your new home. I had that specially prepared for you," Layla said as she looked down at a set of papers that stood on top of her desk, "do not make it a habit of changing addresses."
"Yes, Miss Heartfilia," Levy said as she finally walked out of the door. The blue-headed girl stood in front of closed door as she opened the envelope and quickly flipped through the hundreds of dollars in cash.
'Only a little bit more Levy...and then I could finally tell Lucy,' Levy thought as she closed the envelope and secured it tightly in her pocket.

"Hmm...this shit ain't half bad. Either the bastard has good taste or I'm right about him being gay," Lucy commented as she turned around to get a good view of her bottom, "at least my ass looks like it's out of this world." Lucy said as she smiled at her reflection.
She bent down in front of the mirror and squished her breasts together and a small frown appeared on her face, "I don't understand why he would have me wear something with so much cleavage though,"
