Chapter 24: Sting

"Erza leave," Natsu said as he waved his hand behind his back towards the door.

"No, Erza stay," Lucy said as she went against Natsu's command, something that most people would not do in their entire lives. She locked her eyes with Natsu's, never blinking, as if she was challenging him.

Erza stopped in her tracks and turned around. She swore she has heard that voice before, somewhere in her past, but she just couldn't put a pin on it. She didn't know what to do. Although she received the order to leave from her Boss, she just couldn't make herself move any further when Lucy's order reached her ears. Was it some kind of hypnosis that the blond was using?

Natsu looked back at the red-headed woman and grew irritated. He was annoyed that she would listen to anyone besides him.

"They aren't your dogs ya know," Lucy said as she broke the silence between the two Fairy Tail members, "they are real people that have lives and feelings. I don't think they would appreciate you ordering them around like animals."

Before Natsu could say anything, Erza put herself in between the two people and answered Lucy back, "He doesn't order people around. He helps us. So you should get your facts straight before you go around accusing people of things that they don't do."

As soon as Erza was done talking, Lucy let out a laugh that even surprised Natsu. Erza couldn't believe the nerve of this girl to laugh in her face when she was being completely serious. Lucy wiped an invisible tear from her eye, as a sign to show Erza how funny her little statement really is.

"Oh man that was funny. You really think that Natsu helps people because he cares," Lucy said as she leaned back into the rail and folded her arms together, "Oh honey, you have no idea what him and his family are involved in."

"I suggest you stop talking Ms. Heartfilia," Natsu said as his fists tightens a bit. Lucy suddenly looked taken back, she didn't hear someone say her last name in a very long time, although it's clearly stated on her license.

"Looks like we're not going anywhere with all of this nonsense," Lucy said as she let out a big sigh, "I'm done here." She then came off the rail and started walking down towards the door, but stopped when she felt someone grab her wrist. It was Erza.

"We agreed on something. You told me that you would tell us about the mole," Erza demands as she jerked Lucy back in front of her.

"No, I agreed to talk to you and your raven-headed comrade. Not him. I don't have any type of business with him....yet," Lucy said as she jerked her hand away from Erza.

"But..." Erza began to say but was stopped by Natsu.

"Leave her be. We will find out on our own. We can't trust anything she says," Natsu said as he stepped in between the two girls.

"I suggest you listen to your Boss," Lucy said sad she kicked an unknown object on the floor and then closed the door.

"Idiots," Lucy giggles as she picked up the pipe that held the door open and threw it to the side.

"Well if it isn't my friend," said a blond hair man as he leaned on the wall of the stairway.

'Maybe I could make use of this crazy stalker bastard,' Lucy thought as she smiled and walked towards Sting.

"That bitch," Erza said as she snapped her fingers, as she did not have anything around her to smash in to pieces.

"Calm down Erza. By the way, isn't Gray supposed to meet her with you?" Natsu asked as she glanced around to see if the man was already there.

"Yeah me too...and Boss...she took the pipe that held the door open. So we're stuck on here," Erza said as she looked disappointed at her Boss and guided he hand towards the door to let him know that it was completely shut.
