Chapter 5: Shhh Let Wendy Explain

"Oh man, I forgot my wings. And I'm still hungry too," Lucy said to herself as she slowed down the motorcycle, assuming that she was far away enough from Natsu and his mafia. All of a sudden she heard a loud engine growing louder and faster with each second that went by.

"Got you," Natsu said as he spotted the same motorcycle that passed by mine not more than five minutes ago. He quickly sped up with his eyes set on his target. He didn't know why, but something inside of him was telling him that he had to talk to this girl, or at least meet her in a more proper way. No, he realized something more. she was o mere girl. She was a woman that had skills, maybe enough to make him put up a fight.

"Don't tell me it's that damn boss of theirs," Lucy said as she quickly turned around and caught a glimpse of the vehicle that was speeding up behind her then she quickly turned around so she could focus on the road and avoid crashing. She sped up once more close to her limit and drove onto the highway. If he wanted catch her, then he was gonna have one hell of a trouble trying to beat her.

"Is she really trying to outdrive me?" Natsu said as a smirk started to form on his lips, "she doesn't know who she's dealing with." Natsu turned his motorcycle onto the highway and started to speed up at the same pace that Lucy was driving at.

Neither of them was giving up because neither of them wanted to lose this unspoken challenge that had just begun. Lucy had begun driving between cars and switching lanes to try and make Natsu confused. Every now and then she would look back to see if he was still following her, only every time she looked back he would be about one meter closer to where he was before.

Her eyes started to become slanted. She was getting serious. No one was able to get this close to her while she was on her bike. He had some skills, but she was determined to prove that she was better than him. She then looked down at her gas meter to see that she was almost out.

"Crap, now is the time that you decide to drain. Didn't I feed you this morning?"Lucy said to her bike as she begun looking for an exit off the highway. She found one to her left and then haul assed towards that that exit. But she had made a mistake and had cut off a police car. Now there were two people trying to catch her. And neither option sounded pretty. "Ahhh fuck my like"

Meanwhile, Leo and Gray were just about finished getting the spicyness out of their mouths. Everyone had already left out of their cars and more have arrived. Some where clearing the streets and dragging regular people away from the scene, others were dragging the dead bodies off the sidewalk and throwing them in the alleyway, while the rest were gathered around Wendy trying to get answers about what went down.

"So tell Juvia Wendy, what happened here? Did someone try to hurt Gray? Because Juvia swear that if someone lays a single finger on Gr-" Juvia had begun to say but was cut off by a brown-haired girl that went by the name Cana while she was holding a bottle of wine.

"Shut up Juvia and let her talk," Cana said raising the bottle to her lips and drinking half of the bottle in one go. She then strapped the bottle back to her waist, which was holding up about five more. Yes. Cana had made a personal wine holder to drink more easily for herself.

"Juvia will not shut up bec-" Juvia again begun to say but Laxus had raised his hand to her face and lightly, well to him it lightly, squeezed to shut her up.

"Let the kid talk," Laxus said as he put his hands at the end of his jacket and straighten it out to make himself look neat. Because that's how everyone wants to look after killing people.

"Well you see, the driver had dropped me off her and said that he would be back in an hour. But then more than an hour had passed and I was starting to get scared. I then started to walk and look around for people that could help me, but everyone was ignoring me. I then saw a nice la-" Wendy said as she had begun to explain what happened to the members. When all of a sudden Erza walked up towards the group.

"I am here," Erza said as she put her hands on her hips to imitate a superhero stance.

"Good to know Fairy Woman, now shhhh," Cana said to Erza and then went back to choosing which bottle she should open next.

"Juvia would like a nickname too," Juvia said sadly to Cana.

"Well, rain woman? Nah I'll think of a better one," Cana said as a light blush started to form on her face, which showed a sign that she was starting to get drunk.

"Fairy Woman, has a nice ring to it," Erza said while thinking out loud while rubbing her chin.

"WILL EVERYONE PLEASE BE QUIET," Wendy shouted with all her might while gaining the attention of not only the small group that was formed around her, but also the rest of the on lookers, the people pushing the onlookers away, and the people that was moving the dead bodies. Man, she had some powerful lungs. Wendy waited for a while to make sure it was completely quiet before she started to talk again, "Thank you but you didn't all have to be so quiet"

'Is she really saying that?' everyone all thought at once.

"As I was saying, then there was this nice lady that stopped and tried to help me. She was gonna try and get some help but then someone started to shoot at us. She saved me," Wendy said and then looked up to see how the others would react to what she just said. No one was saying anything, they were all just staring at her to see if she was finally finished. Wendy looked around, "Huh, you know you could speak," she finished and everyone let out a sigh. They didn't want their ears to bleed again.

"Does anyone know who the driver is?" Erza questioned, "more importantly, Wendy did you find out anything from that lady that saved you. How do we know if she wasn't part of the plan."

"The drive had long spikey black hair and piercing all over his face. I'm sorry. That's about all I could see. He had his eyes covered with black shades.

"What about the girl?" Leo questioned Wendy.

"She had good intentions. Please trust me," Wendy said as she bowed her head in front of everyone. They all waited until she raised her head then then nodded at her.

"Juvia thinks she might have an idea on who she's talking about," Juvia said as she quickly snapped her finger in the air, "but fist we have to get back to the base. It's not safe here."

"Okay, I'll drop Wendy home and then speed back to the base," Leo said as she grabbed Wendy's hand and started walking towards his car. Everyone started to go back to the cars that they came in and one by one they started to drive away.

"Wait, do you know where Boss went? I was sure that he would have been the first one here," Erza said as she grabbed Gray's arm to prevent him from walking too far away.

"I don't know. But I assume that he went after that pretty lady that Wendy was talking about," Gray said as he started walking back to his car with Juvia walking closly behind him, "really Juvia? You have your own car."

Juvia frowned like a child that got their treat taken away and started walking back to her car. Gray looked back at her and started to smirk a bit.

'Now to find Boss' Erza said to herself as she starting walking back to her car with a serious look spread across her face.
