Chapter 21: The Mole

"Wonder why I called you bitches here?" Natsu asked as he swung around in his chair and faced the two people that sat before him. Gray and Erza quickly glanced at each other and then set their eyes back on their Boss. They knew they weren't supposed to answer, it was clear to them that Natsu asked a rhetorical question. Natsu glanced at them and then let out a sigh.

"I called you in here because I trust you two the most. I have the most confidence in you and I am completely sure that none of you would betray me," Natsu said as he leaned over his desk and crossed his fingers together. Both Erza and Gray smirked. They knew that Boss had confidence in them, but they felt like they were on a whole different level, hearing the actual words coming out from his mouth.

"I have a mission for the two of you," Natsu said as his voice grew darker. The duo immediately sat up and nodded their heads, already accepting the mission that he was about to tell them, "And you are not allowed to tell anyone of this mission. Not your friend, best friend, or spouse. Only you two and I will know. Do you understand me?" Gray and Erza nodded as they leaned in closer to hear him clearly.

"Now, it has come to my attention that someone on this base is leaking possible confidential information on our mafia. I need you two to find this mole and eliminate them. Use any force you seem fit," Natsu said quietly, just taking an extra precaution. "Now do you understand the concept of this mission and vow not to leak anything of its information to anyone out of this room? Do you understand?" Natsu asked as he braced back into his chair. The duo again nodded their heads at their Boss and braced back in their chair to relax and listen to any other information that he might tell them.

They were then caught off guard as Natsu quickly banged his head on the table. Gray and Erza immediately sat up, now alert that they shouldn't be relaxing in a situation like this. He wanted their verbal honor that they would not leak this information to anyone, not just a simple now.

"I. said. Do you understand?" Natsu said slowly, with each word causing sweat to drop from the sides of their faces.

"Yes Boss. We understand the conditions of this mission," They said in unison.

"Good," Natsu said as he braced back in his chair and kicked both of his feet up on his desk. He had something thinking to do, "now get out of my office and get to work." The two got up from their seats, slightly bowed their heads and left.

'I wonder if Lucy is connected to any of this shit,' Natsu said as he braced his head back and closed his eyes.

"So what's the mission that Boss gave you?" Mira asked as she saw Gray and Erza both walking up to the bar with a serious and determined expression on their faces. They glanced at each other for s slight second, then Gray went on to lie.

"Just to put some trashy corrupt business man to sleep,"  Gray said as she sat down and ordered his drink, "Can I get a shot of tequila, make it flat please,"

"Sure," Mira happily said as she ducked under the bar to look for the bottle of tequila, until Erza quickly tapped on the bar to get her attention.

"Never mind Mira. He won't be having any alcohol. You know, because of the injuries, it'll only take him longer to heal," Erza says to Mira.

"Well a shot wouldn't do anything," Gray said as he sung around on the stool and  plopped his head on his hand.

"Well. We have work to do anyway," Erza said as she placed as face smile on her face as she grabbed Gray by his collar and began dragging him across the base.

"Hey hey! You can't hurt an injured man!" Gray yelled as he tried to pry Erza's hands off of him.

"Man?" Erza said as she stopped walking and pretended to look around, "I don't see any." She said with a hidden giggle at the end.

"Bitch," Gray muttered to himself as he crossed his arms. His words were loud enough to be heard by Erza and he immediately regretted what he said, "Wait Erza I'm sor-"

Before he could finish his apology, Erza punched him in the stomach and he passed out.

"Alrighty then. Off we go!" Erza announced as she marched out of the base with Gray dragging right behind her.

"Oh dear, their job is going to be a long one," Mira said as she lightly giggled to herself.

"You didn't have to do all that ya know. I have splinters on my ass ya know," Gray complained as he patted his behind.

"Oh come on. I didn't even drag you with that much force. Stop being such a fucking baby," Erza said as she waited at the bus stop.

"I ain't no damn baby. You're just a ruthless monster," Gray quietly muttered to himself, afraid that Erza would hear him. He then noticed where they were standing, "Why are we at the bus stop? We could've just used my car if yours isn't working."

"We're on a mission that the guys don't know about. We have to take precautions, just to make sure that no one is following up," Erza said as she put her hand out to try and stop the bus, even though it was public transportation and it was going to stop anyway. The bus stopped in front of the two and opened its doors.

"Ya know that anyone could take the bus. It's not like there's a secret password that takes you to a specific or special place," Gray joked as he stepped onto the bus. Erza took a quick look at the bus number and smiled. It was Bus #7, one of the buses that Fairy Tail has control over. She walked into the bus and smiled at the driver as she showed him her mark. At the meet sight of the mark, the bus driver immediately started to sweat.

"Wh-here ya headed Miss?" The bust driver stuttered as he closed the door behind her.

"I'm going to The Ferry. But, take your time," Erza said as she smiled and sat down next to Gray.

"The Ferry?" Gray questioned.

Erza flicked his bandages and pulled out her phone to look through YouHumor it's an app where she enjoys looking at memes and funny videos.

"What the hell was that for?" Gray said as he tapped the bandages on his head to look for any bleeding or reopened wounds.

"That's me telling you to shut up," Erza said as she braced her head on Gray's should and continued swipes through her app.

"Where are she going anyways?"Gray asked as she plopped his head on his hand and leaned against the window.

"Don't worry. We have more than enough time," Erza said as she giggled at the seven second video.

"Okay," Gray replies as his eyes slowly started to close and he eventually drifted off to sleep.

Not more that ten minutes have passed, when Erza hit Gray in the stomach and yelled, "Stop fucking snoring in my ear you troll!"
