I woke up to the sound of birds. It was so weird. You know, the feeling of waking up. For six months I had been stuck in some sort of cocoon and now that I finally was out of it, I didn't know what to do with myself.

After making myself a cup of coffee, I decided to get dressed and try to find a job. I knew that my aunt had been paying for my rent for the past six months, but now that I was awake she didn't have to.

Apparently before the incident I worked at a place called Jamba Juice. I was the manager of my own store and that's why I had a good amount of money. Making smoothies pays well.

I walked out of my house with my keys in one hand and my bag in the other. I was wearing a pair of ripped high waisted shorts with a black and white striped crop top. I finished it off with my black vans.

I started to walk down the stairs when I stopped. I missed out on a huge piece of information.

I didn't know which car was mine.

After pressing the button to try and hear the alarm, I came to the conclusion that it didn't work. I only had one choice left, and it was one that I most definitely did not prefer.

I had to ask Matt.

I huffed my way up the stairs. Once I got to his door, I knocked and tucked a piece of my short chocolate brown hair behind my ear.

To my surprise, there was a thin blonde girl around my age who peeked her head out the door. It was very obvious that her choice of apparel for the day was slim to none.

"Oh, uh, hi!" She giggled far too loud for my liking. I mentally rolled my eyes.

"Hi, I'm looking for Matt?" I asked as kind as possible. I even threw a 'you look like a complete slut' smile in there, but to her it probably looked normal.

"Oh, yeah, hang on one sec." She said with yet another giggle. She ran off to go find him while yelling in a sing-song voice. "Matty! That memory-loss girl is over here! I guess she forgot how to drive or something."

Jesus, it's like this girl totally forgot she left the door wide open or that I was standing on the other side of the threshold.

A shirtless and annoyed Matt walked to the door and gave me a look that basically said 'really?'

"I forgot how to drive my car," I said, mimicking the idiotic blonde that was at the door a few moments before. He pursed his lips together in a hope of not laughing, but once he realized that wasn't going to work, he chuckled to himself.

"What do you want, Nina?"

"I don't know which car is mine." I said with a look of defeat written all over my face. I didn't want to ask for help from him. In fact, that was the last thing on earth that I wanted to do at that very moment.

"It's the grey Honda Accord," He replied. "Parking spot 243, I think."

I nodded in response. "Thanks. Oh, and have fun with Blondie. She seems like a hoot." I laughed sarcastically as I walked away. This time it was me who left without a goodbye.
