It was dark. The cold metal was pressed into my naked skin causing me to shiver. I heard the heavy footsteps down the hallway, that must be what woke me up. I scooted to the back of my small cell, the chain hooked to my metal collar clanked against the floor and wall making a horrid racket.
The guard stopped at my cell and crouched down to my level. "Come on Becca, it's time," his voice was gentle, but I still didn't want to go. "please don't make this difficult, I really don't want to force you," Jake reached his hand in the now open doorway and I took it. Jake was the only one in this god forsaken place that I actually liked. He was the only one who came to get me anymore cause the others always left bruises cause I wouldn't go with them, and Kyle didn't like that.
Jake reached for my collar and took off the chains. He backed up and let me slip out of the small space and finally stand. I stretched quickly before we started down the hallway. It's been at least 2 days since the last time I had to get out of there so my legs kinda hurt. So I just decided to run around a little in the small hallway. Jake just laughed at me and shook his head. I stopped in front of his when we were closer to the door at the end. He let's me off when we are alone but I don't want to get him in trouble. But when I looked at him, there were tears in his eyes.
I tilted my head to the side in question. He wiped at the few tears that had found their way down his face, "it's nothing, I just keep forgetting that you're only 17, you're still just a baby.... you shouldn't be put threw this," he gave me a hug and I hugged him back. I was taken from my family at the age of nine and Jake was the closest thing I've gotten to a family in the last eight years.
I pulled out of the hug and pulled on his hand, I really didn't want him to get in trouble. "Alright alright," almost reluctantly he hooked the leash to my collar and I bowed my head. "You know," he said before he opened the door, "I don't think I've heard you speak in the last three years," I just shrugged. When you got beat every time you spoke for five years, you would stop too.
He opened the door and we passed the two usual guards. They both growled at me and I really wanted to claw their eyes out but last time I tried that I didn't get food for a week, it was worth it though. We made our way down to the bath room and Lila was waiting for me. Jake handed her the leash and stood at the entrance while Lila led me in.
She didn't bother talking to me, she just got me to the bath and did what needed to be done. After she was done, she handed me my outfit. It's basically the same thing every time, a simple miniskirt and a tight tank top. It 'shows the most of what I am' is what Kyle always tells me. He just wants to see me in it. But I've learned not to complain, I've learned not to do anything really.
When I got dressed, I walked out of the room and waited inside the door for Jake. Once he saw me he took my leash and we headed to the Showing Room. I hate this place. It's just a bunch of rich people crowded around rarities just to see what they don't have. It was kinda stupid really.
I went up to my small stage and sat down. Men and women alike crowded around me, touching my ears and my tail, running their hands over my skin. One guy slid his hand up my skirt but I didn't move. I knew better than to move. I didn't want to have my legs nailed to the stage again.
The chatter was monotone and boring, it wasn't even worth listening in on anymore. It was the same thing over and over, "I wonder if she'll find her mate or if Kyle will bread her," "I wonder how much Kyle will take for her," "how old is she?" "These ears can't be real, this is a joke," I just sat and listened, not moving until everyone was finally ushered out of the room at the end of the day.
