I headed to the other side of town. Dylan had an apartment somewhere by the bridge and I need to talk to him. It took me till after noon to find my way to the river, I still don't know the town very well, and I was exhausted. I sat on the edge of a park bench, my body rigid, ready to run at any moment.

"Kitty?" a soft voice sounded behind me making me jump 10 feet in the air. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I scare you? I didn't mean to.." Jake sat next to me on the bench just as rigid as me.

"It's alright, I just wasn't expecting it is all," laying my hand on his reassuringly, I sat back on the bench.

"So where's Devin? He seems a bit too over protective to let you leave the house alone," with a slight chuckle he ruffled my hair, and I laughed along with him.

"Nah, he lets me out sometimes, I'm actually going to a friends house right now," it was easy lieing to my brother, I had been doing it for years, but knowing what I was getting myself into, it just felt wrong.

"Oh? Where does your friend live?" it was an honest question, but I didn't have an answer, so I just shrugged. "Well... do you know approximately where your friend lives?"

"Somewhere around the bridge, in an apartment" I had heard Devin and Dylan talking about where he lives now just the other day, but I could only get the vague details.

"Well, there is only one apartment building around the bridge that I know of, I could show you the way if you want to," I know he was just trying to elongate his time with me since we haven't seen each other in a long time, but I couldn't let him see who I was actually going to see. He would never let me stay.

"Can you just give me the directions? I really need to get going and I don't want to be a bother," with the way I have always been with my pride, he didn't even bat an eye as he gave me the directions.

"And its just a big building with lots of windows, it's pretty hard to miss," he smiled at me and I smiled back. I wish that we would have had a better relationship for all these years, but I was so caught up with the past that I couldn't see the future staring right at me. But now that my past has caught up with me, there is no going back to what could have been.

"I love you," I said as I hugged him tightly.

"I love you too," I don't know how long we hugged for but it wasn't long enough, as he released me he smiled and kissed my forehead, "I'll see you later."

"You didn't say goodbye.." it made me smile as I fought back tears.

"Lets leave the goodbye for when I won't see you again, okay?" I just nodded as he walked away.

"Goodbye," I whispered and proceeded to walk towards the bridge.

"Big building with lots of windows, big building with lots of windows, big building with lots of windows. All of the buildings are bit and all of them have lots of windows!!!!!" I was starting to get extremely frustrated, all the building fucking looked the same. This is what I hate about cities, you can get lost so easily. Walking around for hours was not fun, especially when Devin could be waking up any minute, or is already awake and is tearing up the the City looking for me. This really isn't good. If Devin found me before I got to Dylan, or if Dylan gave me back to Devin, this would all be ruined. I need to find him quickly, or this would have been all for nothing.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I turned around and felt relieved, there stood Dylan with a fast food bag in his hand, looking at me like I was crazy.

"I was actually looking for you," the shock of his face was evident and it made me giggle.

"Do you have a death wish? Or do you just want me to die? Thats it isn't it, cause Devin is going to kill me if he finds me anywhere near you," there was panic in his voice, as there should be, but I needed his help and I couldn't have him running away from fear of his brother.
