Chapter 14: Aw Hell

Waking up, I pulled myself from the deep dark that clouded my mind throughout my sleep. As I became aware of my surroundings, it became clear to me that Devin was no longer at my side. I pulled myself up and the cold air brushed against my naked skin as the blanket slid away from me. I got up and slipped on a pair of jeans and slim tank top, and walked upstairs.

I walked into the living room noticing that this room was empty as well. “Devin?” I called out, not feeling right begin all alone here.

“Devin isn’t here,” an all too familiar voice came from the doorway of the kitchen. I looked over and there he was. Tall, blond, and wearing white as always.

“What do you want, Dylan?” I ask, my voice coming out stronger than i thought it would.

“You already know what I want, Kitty. I want to destroy my brother in the best way I can,” the idiotic smile on his face was just starting to piss me off along with his words.

“Well,” I say, starting to walk away, “You can try, but it’s not going to be  easy.”

In the blink of an eye, he was standing next to me and had a strong grip on my arm, “wear do you think you’re going?” It wasn’t a question. I realized that I didn’t have a choice anymore, he wanted me to stay and he was going to make me stay. I lowered my head.

“no where….” I say quietly.

“Good,” he said and he pushed me towards the couch, “now sit down.” Not having much of a choice as he pushed me down to the couch and sat way too close to me. He started running his hands lightly through my hair, which made me shiver in disgust. Apparently he took it the wrong way because he laid his hand on the back of my neck and came a little closer. “I think I’m going to enjoy my plan very much,” he said darkly before he kissed my cheek lightly.

“What are you planning?” I ask hesitantly, not knowing if I truly wanted to know the answer or not.

“Well,” he said slowly, placing his hand on knee so that he was fully facing me, “Devin obviously seems to like you, alot,” he chuckled like this was funny, “I don’t see why, but whatever.”

“I’m his Mate,” I said matter-of-factly.

“Anyways,” he continued like I hadn’t spoken, “lets say I was to kill you, now, that would be fun and it would kill the poor little boy inside, but thats it. He might go into a deep depression, he might lose himself completely, he might even kill himself,” at every possibility his eyes seemed to get lighter and lighter, as my heart became heavier and heavier. “But thats not all I want. I don’t want to kill him, I want to destroy him,” he looked at me with a demonic grin that had me pushing back against the couch, “you wanna know how I’m going to do that?” he didn’t even give me time to answer. “I’m going to hurt the only thing he hold dear. I’m going to hurt you so bad he’s not going to know what to do. Oh, I won’t kill you, but I am going to make it so that every time he looks at you, every time he thinks of you, he remembers what I did and that he didn’t stop it. It’s going to slowly drive him mad, very, very slowly. It’s going to make him completely shut down until he destroys himself,” he laughed, “maybe then he would decide to kill himself, not being able to live with the gilt,” then he looked me straight in the eyes, the light blue giving was to a slight purple tint, “and then, I won't have to worry about you, because without your precious Mate,” he said the word with disgust, “you’ll die to.”

“You are a disturbed person,” I say to him as I try to stand up. My mind was on the fritz thinking about all the thing he said. I really didn’t care about what he would do to me, all I cared about was what it would do to Devin. Although, I wasn’t going to let it show on my face.

“And what do you think you’re doing?” Dylan said as he pulled me back to the couch, “I wasn’t done with you yet.”

I sigh, really just getting tired of his shit. He’s a complete psycho and it’s really starting to pissing me off. Well, better pissed off than scared….

“What do you want now?” I ask, sounding bored.

“Well, I want you scared..” I really, really didn’t like the look on his face. His hand ran down the side of my face and to the curve of my neck. Brushing his lips against the other side of my neck, he lightly nicked my skin with his nail. Not getting much of a reaction from me cause I was frozen solid, he dug his nail deeper into my flesh and and sliced a decent sized cut on the side of my neck, causing me to gasp and for blood to run down my neck in a steady stream.

All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door and a semi-deep, but overly cheery voice called from the other side, “Hey! You guys in there? Devin? Come on, just open the door!!” he didn’t stop knocking and by the look on Dylan’s face, he was getting really annoyed. He got up, not even looking at me, and went to open the door. I just sat there, too scared to move.

“What do you want?!” I heard Dylan basically yell in annoyance after the door was opened.

“I want in. Wasn’t that clear?” the other boy said happily.

“Jesus, Sam, why are you always so fucking cheary?” Dylan asked clearly frustrated.

“I’m not, I just know that it’s the only way to get you to open the door if Devin isn’t home,” as if to accent his words, his voice went from happy to powerful in just that short amount of time.

“Whatever Sam, Devin isn’t here, so if you want to wait around for him, be my guest. I’m leaving,” I heard him going out the door and I heard it shut. Okay, so, what should I do now? I’m sitting here bleeding, Dylan just left (which is good but still), and now I’m alone with someone that I never met before and is probably another vampire. Aw hell.
