After safely returning to the forest he walked while thinking of a plan.
He has to learn the human language of this world, to decide weather or not to use the game system, and what his ultimate goal should be.
Though for right now his main goal was simply to survive. He now knew animals, or monsters if you were more inclined to reference games, were real in this world and most likely the result of magic. Though when he thought about it he wondered what was different in this world compared to his previous one, to cause animals and humans to have abilities like in games.
Why did my world not have magic? What could be different? (Cain)
He sighed and looked up at the sky. He was shocked to find two bright orbs shining back at him.
Eh? Two suns? (Cain)
He didn't want to look at them for too long but he look at the smaller one, it had a blueish tint to it.
That's awesome! Blue suns, or stars I should say, are quite hot if I remember correctly. So this world has a blue sun and an orange one? I wonder how that works.... (Cain)
Cain was no expert on stars so he quickly turned his attention to something else, Though he did note the suns would set soon.
He needed a weapon first and foremost. For some reason he had been reincarnated without a weapon to his name, He only had the clothes he woke up with.
He found a hand-sized rock and went to a large stone. He threw the rock onto the stone and covered his face. After looking around he found some of the shattered pieces. It was a crude and dangerous way of getting a sharp rock. He picked a shard up and sighed.
"It's small and has no handle for me to grip. At this point I'll just end up hurting myself with this." (Cain)
He deposited a few of the decent sized shards in his inventory.
With that done he moved on, he needed to find water before it got dark.
After walking for around an hour he heard the sound of rushing water. He founded that sound until he came upon a small river. It was small enough to cross without trouble and the current wasn't to strong.
"Perfect." (Cain)
He figured that the water should be clean since there was no pollution or sewage drains in this world.
He went over and looked around, scanning for any danger. After finding nothing he kneeled down next to the water and splashed some on his face.
He shivered and gritted his teeth.
"Ah, freezing cold..." (Cain)
He breath out, refreshed by the cold water.
He took a few gulps and looked around for something to help him finish his weapon.
"Short or long handle..... knife or spear, huh?" (Cain)
He didn't feel as if either was his calling. He just couldn't imagine himself using either.
"I guess I can make both for now, I bet some will break anyways so I'll have to make extras." (Cain)
He went to work looking for some sort of suitable handle and something to tie or glue it together.
-30 minutes later-
He sat down near some bushes, close enough to the river to see it but out of sight if anything were to show up.
In front of him was everything he gathered.
He found some sturdy and relatively straight wood, along with some plants that could potentially be used as string.
He didn't find anything glue-like, he would probably have to make something or use sap from a tree. He would save that for another day though.
He took the sharp stones out of his inventory and used them to carve the wooden sticks, he tried to be careful but ended up cutting himself a few times.
After getting it as sturdy and straight as he could he cut a few into shorter segments. He then started to tie the sharp stones to the different lengths of sticks.
Once he had a good amount of knives and spears he tested them out.
He messed around with them stabbing, swinging, and slicing at some nearby trees.
Most broke. The ones that survived though went right into his inventory.
He had about 5 knives and 3 spears that survived the tests.
"Whew... hard work for such shabby weapons, but hey, it's the best I can do." (Cain)
He shrugged and went to have another drink of water.
Suddenly something popped up in front of his eyes.
[Crafting] the ability to craft various items.
"Ohhh!" (Cain)
He smiled and accidentally raised his voice when he saw his first skill. He covered his mouth and looked around, fearing the bear might come back.
He knew the possibility of that was low but you can never be to careful.
So if you aren't new to the story you may have noticed that I deleted all the other chapter. I did this so that I can change and edit all the chapter so far, easier. I am trying to keep most things similar to the first version but there will be some differences.
