When Cain opened his tightly shut and heavy eyes, he looked up at the sky, noticing the suns were about a third of the way up.
"Ugh I want to sleep more...." (Cain)
He sat up and nearly screamed.
Next to him was the dragons huge head, it's eyes closed in sleep.
After almost having a heart attack he noticed his injured arm was damp and cold.
He looked at it and saw a pile of mushed up plants.
Did the dragon try to treat my wound? (Cain)
Even with the plants being almost unrecognizable he knew they were the ones he used on the dragon.
That's pretty impressive.... unless he knew about them before? No, if that were the case he might have been able to treat his own wound given he had enough energy... hmm (Cain)
Either way he was thankful and feeling much better. Only problem now was his stomach.
It was painfully empty, he looked over to the uneaten orc.
He saw and heard flies already attempting to claim the body.
Flies? (Cain)
He got up, carefully so he didn't wake his giant sleeping companion and went over to check it out. Most of the plant paste on his arm fell off, his arm was covered in green drool he would have to clean that up soon. He smiled thinking of the dragon trying to chew the plants up enough to use without cheeks.
Walking over to the corpse he stopped a distance away so he did not scare the flies away.
He watched and noticed they were not flies like on earth. They had spikes all along their backs and almost bat-like wings.
"Not sure what to called all these monsters.... for now I'll have to stick to what I know from earth." (Cain)
He shoo'd them away with a wave of his hands and focused his attention on the dead orc.
Looking at the body he expected to be revolted, he didn't feel anything special looking at the body.
Then again I never really saw a body on earth.... (Cain)
Surprised that the body didn't affect him he decided to try it.
"I need food and this guy is already dead, it would be a waste to leave its body to rot." (Cain)
He summon his inventory and took out one of the knives he made the other day.
He got to work carving off part of the orc. He chose part of the leg, he knew that bacon was made from the belly of the pig but right now he just needed lots of meat.
He wasn't sure what butchering a pig was like but this orcs skin was quite thick and sturdy. He decided to remove the skin, it was hard to keep it intact, both the meat and skin. As he worked he tried to hold his breath and only breath through his mouth, the orcs smelled rancid just like the camp they were in.
Two of his knives broke in the process but in the end he had a.... chunk of meat and a piece of slightly damaged skin, it was about twice the size of Cain's face.
"Not sure what I can use it for but it can't hurt to keep." (Cain)
He put it in his inventory along with the knife he was using and the rest of the leg.
He heard noise coming from where the dragon was sleeping.
Did it wake up? (Cain)
He looked over his shoulder and saw the dragon on all fours stretching itself.
